A non BCS conference team making the BCS gets about $25 million to the non BCS schools. About half of that is going to be split among the other nonBCS conferences with the other half going to the MAC to distribute how it sees fit. I would guess that a large chunk of the $12.5 million will go to KSU themselves, and the rest would be spread evenly among the conference members.

If I had to guess I would imagine that KSU making the BCS would probably get BG and the rest of the conference about a half million bucks each. KSU would probably pull in 5-6 million and the rest would go to the conference office, cover the bowl expenses, etc.

Either way we should absolutely be rooting for the best chance to get a MAC team into the BCS...that's a LOT of money to pump into MAC football.

I find it almost unfathomable that a MAC team could actually play in a BCS Bowl game. Beyond that, it wouldn't even be an undefeated MAC team. And to top it all off, that team would be Kent St. Are we living in the Bizarro world now???

I will be representing BGSU in the stands tonight. My dad and I are heading up to the game. Will be cheering for Kent-I always cheer for the East, and next year it will be our Falcons in the game. I hope whoever wins tonight gets a BCS bowl, but I could see them getting snubbed. Look at all those years Boise was up there and didn't get into the National Championship. Of course twice they lost at the end of the season to ruin their chances.

Here's hoping NIU and KSU put on a great show tonight and make the entire MAC proud.

KSU with the quick start (literally...it was Dri Archer) and they're up 7-0. Definitely pulling for the Golden Flashes today, as much as it pains me to root for anyone other than BG. A MAC to the BCS would just be absolutely HUGE for the entire conference.

How about the ESPN announcers basically saying neither team deserves a BCS bowl! The commish needs to have a little talk with the powers to be and see if they really want to do the game. I'm sure there are others that would.
