I disagree. They did belong and were well deserving of a bowl bid with their 9-3 season. They just played a terrible game. Didn't see much emotion or fire from them and clearly, UCF was much better prepared and executed their game plan.
No one is a bigger proponent of the MAC than me, but when filling out my bowl pick sheet, I had the conference going 2-5. The individual matchups just don't seem to favor MAC teams. I thought BSU was the one that had the best chance of winning, considering how well they had been playing. That just goes to show how unpredictable the bowl season can be. Sometimes the team you see in their last regular season game is very different from the one that plays the bowl game after a layoff of a month or more.
