"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

If you ponied up the money for it, I'm sure they'd be happy to do a "crazy jersey" game, but doubt if it'd be black and orange stripes...Globetrotter wrote:I think that at least once a year every team should sport some flashy new audacious jersey that makes the old fans cringe but gets noticed and the youths like it. I'm poor. Money won't be coming from me. I just think it's a cool marketing tool. Gets you noticed.Falcon Fanatic wrote:If you ponied up the money for it, I'm sure they'd be happy to do a "crazy jersey" game, but doubt if it'd be black and orange stripes...Globetrotter wrote:I think that at least once a year every team should sport some flashy new audacious jersey that makes the old fans cringe but gets noticed and the youths like it. Black and Orange stripes? You realize that we're the Falcons and not the Tigers....right?

We are changing our name to Bowling Green FC. Then the stripes will work.Flipper wrote:Black and Orange stripes? You realize that we're the Falcons and not the Tigers....right?

Re: Uniform and helmet for the bowl?
We should never wear black. Never. Not in any sport. It doesn't go with brown.
Re: Uniform and helmet for the bowl?
Does anyone know who is designated as the home team? I know when matchups are listed, typically, the visitor is on the left and the home team on the right, but I've seen this matchup listed both ways on multiple sights, so I don't know what to make of it.
If we are the visitors, I would like to see us in the same outfits we've had the last few games, but swap the white helment for the orange. We used to wear that combo sometimes for road games but I don't think we've used it at all in the 2 years that we've had the white helmets.
If we are the home team, I wouldn't mind seeing the orange pants and tops with white helmets. Same combo we wore in the Military Bowl last year............hopefully a better result this time.

I would imagine we're at least wearing white helmets since that was part of the press conference the other day, other than that I have no clue.

Re: Uniform and helmet for the bowl?
The Henry Ford museum event last night and a locker room tweet showed the orange helmets.
I'm hoping for all orange and a sea of orange in the stands. Love the all whites but the orange stands out better on TV.

With over 9500 tickets sold by BGSU....I think the stadium will look pretty orange.

No. I laughed too, and shook my head. I don't get the appeal. The school colors are just fine with me. If people think black is too damn cool, go root for a school with that color in its scheme.footballguy51 wrote:Am I the only one that laughed out loud at the all black comment? Bravo!
And if the basketball team really did wear all black, then that's a black mark against them and Coach Orr (as if he needs another one). I don't see schools like Kentucky or Duke doing this, so I'm guessing it's not THAT impressive to major recruits.
Re: Uniform and helmet for the bowl?
We are wearing orange helments in all the practice photos. I would think we practice in what we'll play in?

Duke and Kentucky have both worn black uniforms
