LOL at "getting with the times."
Those things looked hideous. It has nothing to do with being "with the times" and everything to do with good taste. Certain colors just don't look good together, and those did not. I liked the orange wings on the shoulders, but not on that awful gray jersey. Put them on brown or white and I'm fine with it. Hell, put them in dark brown on an orange jersey and I'm fine.
And there's no reason Adidas couldn't make a brown jersey. It's not like BG is the only school that has it in its color scheme.

Adidas has been slowly getting away from brown as a color. For the longest time us and Brown University were the only two teams in the nation to have brown gear from Adidas. Think what you want but I have a pretty trustworthy source who has told me multiple times Adidas won't make brown jerseys for us.
If wearing butt ugly jerseys are "getting with the times"....I'll start listening to music on a Walkman again and go back to getting my news from an actual ink and paper newspaper
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Works for me Flipper. Players love them and students love them. That's what's important. Alumni need to take a deep breath and relax (coming from and alum).
I guess if the alumni (myself included) put up more $ we could have the colors we want. I hope the players had a choice and got what they wanted; being a season ticket holder only gets me a seat.
I sent a tweet to Kingston about it saying if they get new jerseys next year to make sure if brown is included. If Adidas isn't doing brown anymore, contact Under Armour or Nike and work something out. The grays were hideous and numerous BG fans that I watched the game with thought they looked goofy on TV. Couldn't make out numbers from the camera distance during the game.
