I may be wrong but I do believe that the cross divisional games also count in the divisional standings making them nearly as important as the divisional games.

I think you're right on this. Seems to me that ALL MAC games are now counted, perhaps due to the unequal divisions. We don't play MU this yr. but DO get Toledo AND Ball St from West.

All MAC games count equally and cross-divisional games can wreak havoc on tie-breakers so they are important.

You are correct, they do, but the East games will always carry a little more weight for us going head-to-head with teams also trying to win the division. We can win the East, but we can't win the West, meaning we're essentially competing moreso with our division opponents over the cross-divisional ones. And remember, not all East teams play the entire East slate like some do meaning winning percentage vs your division foes is always important.

Going 8-0 will render the point moot...or if you're from Toledo...mute

Yep, 8-0 would be ideal.

I'd love for BG to shoot the moon and pull that off. Northern Illinois has done it a few times, Central Michigan and Ball State have also done it within the past decade, so it's not impossible.

12-0 would be even better, lol

Don't stop there. 9-0 and 14-0 would be best.

:supz: =D>

And about tsun? We must beat them. We are only 7-13 against them the last 20 games and they've narrowed the series to 39-35-5. I am soooooooo sick and tired of losing to them. They have NEVER beaten us 5 in a row and we cannot let it happen now.

That's a ways off but WKU is only a month away.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
