Not sure WHY this is being done, but I saw at least 10-12 kids I know are new this year. I personnally liked it better when kids had whole unis, even if they were in a group off somewhat separate from rest of team.
I noticed that also and feel the same. They also didn't let the whole team participate in the Falcon Walk...nor did the coaching staff. Don't like those changes at all.
I'm pretty positive that the changes didn't sit well with the red-shirted freshmen and their families. There is a feeling that they are not a "real" part of the team by being excluded from certain team activities - Falcon Walk, dressing, in the locker room, etc.
If they're redshirting it means they won't play in the game, so it seems silly to dress and act like that's something that's going to happen. It might even be more discouraging to be in uniform and know you won't be able to play.
It's frustrating to redshirt but it's the same process Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston went through, not to mention Matt Johnson, Travis Greene and the overwhelming majority of players on BG and most college football teams.
Thanks for the info, I figured as much, but any word on if he's expected to return as in the next few weeks or this year? If he's not lost for the year that's obviously huge news. Any word on Jude?

No other info was given from Babers. I'd suspect he's week to week until further notice.
