I hope to god Babers is still around for that game because I want to see us light up the scoreboard on those guys in cowtown. Their defense has been brutal since Urbie got down there, and I could easily see us dropping 40-50 points on them if we've got this Babers offense humming by then. Brandon put a scare into 'em in 2003, but I think he just got too cute. I cannot wait for that game. I haven't been in the 'shoe since that '03 game, but may have to make my way back if we're looking like we might have a shot against them.

NOTHING would make me happier than having BGSU be the Ohio team to snap that ridiculous streak they've got.

I couldn't agree more... Even as someone who, as a kid, followed Ohio State; I would NEVER cheer for them to beat MY school.

That would be the absolute greatest thing ever. If he pulls it off, then :prayer: Dino.

I always believed if B G would market itself as Northwest Ohio's Division 1 Football Team (Minus Toledo). Push Bowling Green Football in towns such as Fremont, Fostoria, Napoleon, and Van Wert who do not have college football as well as towns like Tiffin, Defiance, and Findley who have lower divisional teams. Maybe put a N W O on the back of our helmets like Fresno State does with the V that represents the San Joaquin Valley. What do you guys think?

I don't know if BGSU football will ever reach the fandom that we would like to see. There is such a culture of college football of the big boys (big ten, SEC, Pac 10) and all the others. I do believe that ESPN has helped the smaller conferences though. In the 1990's, I hardly ever had a chance to watch BG play unless it was a home game; now I can follow my team-even on the big networks each year. As much as I dislike the whole Tuesday night games, it does give our conference national exposure.
The only way that BG makes a splash in converting fans is through a generation of younger kids being exposed at a younger age. BG needs to market hard for the younger kids to come with their parents and grow up as little Falcons, come to our wonderful school, and have lots of little falcons....

We were just a couple plays away from winning that one. We also had a real shot to beat them in 1992. Lost 17-6 and we had a missed extra point and missed chip shot field goal, that made the final score seem not as close as it really was. Our only other loss that season was at Wisconsin. We dominated a good portion of that game and like 2003, a play here or there and it could have gone the other way. I hope those 2 years don't turn out to be the only legitimate shots we ever get at beating those pricks.
