That thought crossed my mind as well. Krebs is roughly 48-50 years old, which is still young in athletic administration.PGY Tiercel wrote:I am sure Krebs could get the job, but would he want it. With all the problems going on in Columbus, does it still make it attractive to him?
What if he saw this as a major challenge and opportunity to clean up that embarrassment of an athletic dept at OSwho?
I guess we'll find out soon enough but I would HATE to see him go.

Excatly, and in one od Transfer's articles he posted, it said OSwho's Athletic Department had a debt of over 200 million dollars, does Krebs really want to get himself into that kind of mess? I guess we will find out in the upcoming weeks.PGY Tiercel wrote:I am sure Krebs could get the job, but would he want it. I think it is his dream job.PGY Tiercel wrote:I am sure Krebs could get the job, but would he want it. With all the problems going on in Columbus, does it still make it attractive to him?
Also: Whatever flaws Value City Arena may have, Krebs isn't an architect. He just helped raise money for the thing, from what I understand.

Add me to this list. Seems that this is the job Krebs has been waiting for and his credentials certainly warrant a hard look from OSU. And SF, you are 100% correct. This could set us back a few years, at least.Falconfreak90 wrote:I agree. To lose Krebs would be a huge loss. He has done an awesome job as the BG AD. My money is on Krebs to get the job -- and that would be a terrible, terrible loss for us, much bigger than the loss of any single head coach. This could set us back for a generation.

Can't blame the guy if he gets the job. Krebs has worked his tail off to give BGSU a solid atheltic department.
You know, I've been considering a career change. Do you think I'd have a shot?

just listened to the press conference.
the President said the new AD would need three things:
commitment, integrity and experience.
asking a lot for OSU.

The next AD at tOSU will probably be...
All of you must not worry...well dont worry too much.. Right now, I dont think Krebs is even the first guy they want to interview for the job. The next AD at tOSU might be Archie Griffin. He is already in a high position in their Athletic Department and he would love this job too! As I live in Columbus half of the year, I know that he is almost like a god at tOSU. So...although Im sure tOSU wouldnt mind having Krebs as their AD, I am starting to think it's going to be ARCHIE

Archie #45
Archie is no longer with the Athletic Departmemt. He is the President of the OSU Alumni Association (as of January 1, 2004).bgbrandon wrote:Archie Griffin. He is already in a high position in their Athletic Department.

I love Krebs just as much as anyone but I can see where the guy who flamed him is coming from. I wouldn't like the guy too much either if I were on one of the teams that got cut.
But that's part of the job, you can never make everyone happy. I feel bad for the players in those three sports but it had to be done.

Archie is committed. What other school would have him.
Archie has integrity. Haven't heard much negative about the guy.
Archie has no experience as an AD.
Two out of three ain't bad, I guess.
