Re: Saturday scrimmage
Morgan has the potential to be a great QB. GREAT to see Gallon and Colvin back on the field.
Knapke looked faster running. I thought the D flew to the ball all morning and while making a few mental mistakes, the effort was there. They like to hit...
LOVE the fence surrounding the practice fields. Kickoff in 2 weeks.

Re: Saturday scrimmage
So who is our number 2 quarterback? Perhaps this is still being decided?

thats all? ill be there.
Re: Saturday scrimmage
Knapke. He's the most experienced guy in this system. Although he was inconsistent at times, he had a good year overall. They redshirt Morgan unless there's an emergency. He's the likely future star.Schadenfreude wrote:So who is our number 2 quarterback? Perhaps this is still being decided?

Right, that is why they moved Dieter back from Safety to QB. He can act as a buffer in case we have some injuries with MJ and JK. With this type of offense, Morgan or any QB would need some time to adjust so a redshirt would make sense.
Re: Saturday scrimmage
We haven't exactly brought in a bunch for other games in the South. We'll be there as well. I guess I'll be wearing brown for once so I don't get mistaken for that puke color Tennessee fans call orangeFalconKid wrote:kdog27 wrote:250FalconKid wrote:how many fans do you think we bring to Nashville?

Not to my knowledge. Coach Babers said we are pretty healthy coming out of camp besides the usual bumps and bruises.BGSU33 wrote:Thanks for the info. No one went down with any injuries then?

Re: Saturday scrimmage
The Q&A session in the Stroh after the scrimmage was awesome as well. As anticipated, somebody asked (AGAIN) why we went with only 5 home games this year instead of 6 as if it is some type of conspiracy or that we're whoring ourselves out to other school. AD Kingston handled the question masterfully and, I feel, put the issue to rest once and for all. A few kids also asked Coach Babers a couple questions which turned out to be two of the better questions asked that day.

Re: Saturday scrimmage
I couldn't attend as I spent the entire weekend painting my new house but it sounds like it was an informative session. I'm happy to see that Dino has really backed off the hype train this year regarding his offense and hopefully that sends a message to the team to simply relax and play ball.
