Marketing survey
Re: Marketing survey
Yes, how about a comprehensive marketing plan?Flipper wrote:The marketing folks have sent a survey to, apparently, all season ticket holders. I made a point of highlighting the need for more porta johns and dumpsters outside the stadium for tailgaters.
I also told them they need to work on the variety and quality of the concessions.
What else can we add?

Look on the $5 parking ticket thing you complained about paying for earlier. . . for as long as I can remember Myles Pizza has a deal of some sort on there... also the ticket backs usually are sold for big bucks by the marketing department to offer a deal somewhere (free fries at Spots, 10 cents off gas at Meijer etc.)- it would devalue this sponsorship for the marketing department to "team up" with other places to offer additional discounts.bgsufan1972 wrote:Many people go out to eat after the games. Some would like to go out to eat but simply cant afford it because they spend to much at the games.
Maybe the Marketing Dept. and local restaraunts (Panera Bread, BW-3, Frickers, and Myles Pizza) can team up and give Falcon fans, or anyone for that matter, like a 20% discount if they show their ticket stub. I would go to Frickers after the game if I could save a few bucks. If the restaraunts cut back 20% on the total sale amount, but increase business the days of the games by 30 - 40% they still make a profit. Or if they didnt want to discount a certain amount they could offer free soft drinks after the game (within a resonable time period or free appetizers)

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

How about some kind of barrier around the stadium other than just a cheezy chain link fence? The soccer and tennis courts at least have have shrubs planted around the fence. Can't they plant some shrubs around the perimeter of the stadium?

I'd volunteer my services for something like this.Flipper wrote:I'm available and reasonably cheap....1987alum wrote:Yes, how about a comprehensive marketing plan?Flipper wrote:The marketing folks have sent a survey to, apparently, all season ticket holders. Heck, I'd volunteer my services to go out there and dig the holes to plant some trees, put in a decent looking fence, hang some banners, paint some railings, etc.! Maybe they could take advantage of all of us and put together a volunteer AZZ work crew for a week or so. We could pitch tents on the stadium turf and work for free for a week. Maybe they could get a BG sponsor to at least feed us or something. Talk about giving back to your school! I'd do this in the summer, of course.
GO BG!!!
Bingo!!! Although it is an inconvenience for Cleveland/Columbus people to leave BG at 9:30 or later and get home pretty late.hammb wrote:No more afternoon games, all games start at 6:00 or later.
As for marketing -- why don't they finish the back of the scoreboard and put a scrolling events calendar or some sort of large graphic on the back that shows event times? I live in Toledo currently and rarely see commercials advertising games, so I can only assume that average Cleveland-based alumni are unaware of games and times. I know they could go to bgsufalcons.com or call the ticket office, but if they hear or see a commercial on Monday morning for the upcoming weekend's game, maybe they would head west on Saturday.
I agree with all of the other tailgaters -- need more porta-johns and more trash cans. That field to the north of Lot 6 was disgusting after several games this year.
