I think Mr Krebs has a bit of a problem.
My opinion is; he WANTS that position badly, but, similar to that ND Coaching job, there are many big name people who have turned it down.
So how does he handle his 'public' desire for it when others have said they don't want it.
Sort of makes it look like the people who are interested, have some issue; in that, other high profile people don't want it. Why have they declined it?
It is kind of a weird siuation.
I am sure there will be others outside the local arena, who will be interviewed, too, but the locals seem to be 'hands off'.
Like I said before - if he wants it, I hope he gets it. I just hope he makes the 'right' choice for himself and family. All that glitters, is not gold .
GO FALCONS! that's all I can say.
Parting fee for Krebs if he leaves for OSU?

I agree 100%. Think of what he's done at BG with limited resources, then think of what he could do with the overflowing coffers in Columbus.Schadenfreude wrote:If Krebs can persuade great coaches to come to Bowling Green and earn the mere peanuts we can offer them, he can "turn around" a Buckeye program oozing in money.
This idea that it would be tough to be the OSU AD bumfuzzles me.
Especially with any "major" development done for at least another 20 years...1987alum wrote: I agree 100%. Think of what he's done at BG with limited resources, then think of what he could do with the overflowing coffers in Columbus.
While there may be some facilities for the low-profile sports that need replaced or renovated, the facilities for football, M &W basketball, hockey and baseball are all relatively brand new (even the 80 year old football stadium is "new"), as opposed to BG where the football stadium is finally getting a start on *some* improvements, and there is an outcry for a new hockey/basketball arena.
At BG he has to *find* money where there is little, at OSU, he'd have to *make* money where there already is plenty. I guess it depends on what he wants his legacy to be.

A lot of the people who "turn down" or say they are not interested are not even canidates anyway. They are just trying to boost their own image and get their names in the newspaper. You see it a lot with head coaching jobs now. Coach's who are not even in the running for a job will say they are not interested. It is quite pathetic I think.Falcon Commander wrote:I think Mr Krebs has a bit of a problem.

BG Home Games Against BCS Teams
I would love to see an OSU-BGSU Game at the Doyt. Heck, I would love to see any Big Ten team come to the Doyt. Toledo, Ohio, and if I'm not mistaken, Miami, have all hosted Big Ten teams recently. Of course, I'm thinking those were probably 2-for1 deals or maybe even 3-for-1 deals. At least we are hosting Wisconsin, even if the game is played at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The color scheme of the stadium will be nice, and I can't see that being a pro-Wisconsin crowd with the alumni base BG has in Cleveland.
