One of my proudest moments as a BG sports fan happened after the 88 CCHA playoffs. Me and my crew were walking in the tube outside JLA...Sparty fans are doing the "Go Green Go White" bit...so I yelled "Go Green Go White Third place is all right". They faced much laughter and derision...

Also, there are pieces of a story floating around that LB Jon Reschke's status is in question as well. Some say that he is gone and others say he will be gone soon. (Allegedly) his girlfriend had relations with an African American teammate and Reschke responded by sending some what has been described as "racist" texts to the (ex-)girlfriend and the teammate. The new couple then posted the aforementioned texts online for public consumption. Sparty insiders have already warned readers that Reschke will not be with the program moving forward.

When it rains it pours. Reschke was probably their best returning linebacker. So I think that makes 8 players off the roster since the season ended. Plus the gymnastics doctor investigation. Stuff going on within the MSU basketball program. Things not going so good in E.L.

Dantonio is probably out soon - he built the program against a down Michigan but has no chance now that Harbaugh has M running at full steam. I was sincerely hoping Fleck would wait for the MSU job. It would be insanely fun watching Fleck and his incredible energy recruiting against Harbaugh and his antics.

Yeah...I think Harbaugh's putting some serious daylight between UM and MSU...add in the other recruiting monster named Urban Meyer and Dantonio looks like Aquaman going against Superman and Thor.

Yes, but that's only a mismatch when he's not Doink The Clown. I once saw Doink beat Ric Flair at the Seagate Center. Of course, Flair was at a disadvantage, not being able to move well with his pants down around his thighs for about half the match. Not sure I've ever laughed that hard.
