The Browns finally released their participant list in rookie mini-camp for this weekend.

Moore, as we deduced above, is listed as a tryout player. There are 5 other WRs that are on the list as tryouts.

Could be that they think one or two of these tryout guys would be given a shot to come to training camp, but it could also be that they simply need bodies at the position to conduct this camp at all. They didn't draft a single WR, nor did they sign one as an actual UDFA.

They did draft 4 WRs last year and bring in Kenny Britt though. Unless one of these tryout guys looks lights out in PR/KR duties they're unlikely to ever make it to the 53, but getting an invite to training camp is the next step. Fingers crossed for Ronnie...it'd be awesome to have a Falcon on the Browns.

Josh Gordon's reinstatement bid was denied by the NFL...so that's one less guy on the depth chart to worry about
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Haha...who saw that coming?

The Browns WR depth chart is FAR from set in stone, and even further from having proven legit talent.

Britt & Coleman are locks.
I think Ricardo Louis is likely a lock too, as he's the only other one of their returning draft picks that showed ANYTHING last year.

Higgins was active a lot of last year, but did very little. With this group, he's probably a lock, but wouldn't be on any other roster in the league.
Payton barely played, was injured, and then suspended for PED use at the end of last year.
Rannell Hall was injured all year.

The rest are just camp bodies. Wouldn't be shocked at all if they bring one or two of these tryout WRs into camp to compete as well.

Much like Lewis going to the Giants last year, going to the Browns is a pretty good place to get a shot at WR. The only thing that may complicate it some is that I don't think they carry more than 5 WRs on the 53, unless one is a dynamic PR/KR. I could even see them going down to only 4 WRs. DeValve & Njoku are both locks to make the 53, and both will be better lined up wide than almost any of these guys. I really think those 2 stretch TEs will take as many WR snaps as anybody outside of the top 3/4 of the above mentioned group.

Was Lunsford the only person to get a UDFA deal?

I believe so. We had 3-4 that we tryouts but that's it. I don't see any of them on a roster.
