I dig this sked a lot. Will be in Eugene for the opener as Mrs. Freak's Brother and family live 10 min from Autzen Stadium. We are renting a house for 5 days. Should be a great time. Tough schedule but time to start making noise.

To me, the last time we played CMU was when that fat punter took the ball and ran it all the way down the field. Any game after that has been meaningless to me against CMU.
that was the beginning of the end of the Blackney era.

So I should hope that CMU has another fat punter. The punter takes the snap and rumbles 80 yards untouched for a TD and that's the winning TD. If that were to happen would it be the end of road for Jinks too.

Brutal non-conference schedule but it pays the bills. MAC schedule starts with two top rivals then west contender WMU followed by 2017's best conference team by a few miles and likely 2018 east and perhaps conference favorite Ohio. Brutal start. Final four are a nice finish.
MarkL has spoken.

SIX years later, without another winning record, Coach Blackney was released. I can't imagine you being that patient. Best not repeat history.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

As far as memory goes, I think it will be a first with E Kentucky, Georgia Tech, and Oregon.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

The thing about Gary Blackney is that his teams were so dominant from 1991 to 1994 that it was tough to give up on him. For most of the late 1990s, his teams were rarely flat out awful. I still remember the 1998 game against Marshall, which was dominating the MAC. Bowling Green thrashed the Thundering Herd that day.

I long felt like the Falcons were close to pulling it together (at least until 2000, when the Falcons slipped from mediocre to truly bad). I don't know how others here felt, but I thought the BGSU pulled the trigger on Blackney at just the right time.

Yes, we did play EKU once upon a time. I remember being at that game, but don't recall the year. I have trouble recalling last week, anymore.
