Re: New OC
I'd be shocked if anyone of any name recognition is hired. Plus, I'm sure someone like Stud would prefer to still coach at a P5 school. Going from LSU to Ohio State to Bowling Green doesn't exactly make the most sense from a resume perspective.

Re: New OC
Stud's kinda old...maybe a chance to come home and settle in...with the possibility of becoming a HC here would attract him

Re: New OC
Given that it's his alma mater and an offensive coordinator role, it wouldn't be crazy for him to consider coming home. But you are right. His resume is probably capable of landing him an assistant role at another P5 school for more money.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 10:34 am I'm sure someone like Stud would prefer to still coach at a P5 school. Re: New OC
Is there any better indication about how bad this program is that we would take the newly fired OSU OL in an instant over our own head coach. No head coaching experience ever.
And he would have to take a paycut to come here.

Re: New OC
Looking at the schedule...tough to see us being bowl eligible this year. With Loeffler's future here looking dim, I wouldn't want to jump in as the OC here unless I really needed the gig. I think it's most likely that you'll see an assistant take over the title with Loeffler handling the bulk of the job in reality

Re: New OC
Tom Brady new BG Football OC?
Re: New OC
Looks like Brian White has been hired. BC connection.
Re: New OC
He was with Loeffler at Florida in 2009 and 2010, and also at BC with Loeffler from 2016-2018. Appears to be a Barry Alvarez/Urban Meyer/Steve Addazio descendant.
He’s coached in 21 bowl games over the years, including a Fiesta, an Orange, 2 Sugar, and 2 Rose.
Full resume:
86-87: Fordham GA
88-89: Notre Dame GA
90: UNLV QBs
91-92: UNLV RBs
93: Nevada WRs
94: UNLV WRs/Pass Game Coordinator
95-98: Wisconsin RBs
99-06: Wisconsin OC/RBs
06-07: Syracuse OC/TEs
08: Washington STC/TEs
09-10: Florida TEs/FBs
11-14: Florida RBs
15: Boston College WRs
16-19: Boston College RBs
20: Colorado State AHC/RBs
Considering he’s coming here to likely not even call plays, if we’re assuming Loeffler is holding onto that… this seems like a quality hire if he’s actually coming here? I haven’t seen it reported anywhere but figured I would take a minute and look up his resume.

Re: New OC
I had heard Loeffler was eyeing the former CSU staff given the BC connections and the name makes a whole lot of sense. Loeffler was the OC that greatly improved the offense which hinged upon AJ Dillon developing from a nobody to a fringe Heisman candidate. White was Dillon's position coach. The RBs will benefit first and foremost, but overall the offense will benefit from pairing Loeffler and White up.

Re: New OC
Very exciting hire. He’ll coach RB’s and get to call the practice play scripts, like Malone did.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
Re: New OC
Is 51 considered old? He’s been coaching forever, but he could also still coach for 20 more years.
He’s a dad to college aged kids - but not their grandpa.
