You have a PM... if my guess is right, it makes it a more understandable disturbing act, but I still couldn't imagine it. As someone said earlier, there are things you can't put a price tag on, you'd think. And the seller is likely getting at least a couple times more than what he obtained it for, I would imagine.

I think an earlier post got this in one - woman scorned. I don't see a ring on ebay - I see an ex. There's a DB out there getting a post grad diploma in bunny boiling, and he feels worse about this than anyone in the forum. Anger, humiliation, embarassment, the lot. Only an ex can do something like this.

The color of the stone is suspicious - I swear the ones I have seen were close to an "orange".

Were there any players dismissed from the team this year after last season ended? A player with a sour taste in his mouth might be motivated to sell such a thing.

Good pick up, Believe... though I wonder why there would be a ring with identical attributes in all areas except for the stone at the top? :?

I guess I look at it differently. We all might say we would never sell it for any price, but we all get to value our own possessions for ourselves. The player was there when it happened, so maybe he doesn't need a memory of it. We also don't know what circumstances in life are leading to the need for the money.

Its his ring. He earned it. He can sell it if he wants to. He doesn't get to tell you what to do, either.

So far we got a nameless ring with a blue replaced stone and fake diamonds...

Tell me again why this is such a big deal? Sure it could belong to a player from last years team and he might have replaced the stone. But if they want to sell something they worked hard their whole life to achieve, that is their choice. While it is depressing, nothing can really be done about it...
