What a bunch of hypocrits. They knew what Clarett was when he came to C-bus. He helps them win a national title and he is a god. But try to bring allegations of corruption against the football program and it is like burning the flag. They all turned on him in a hurry even though there is more evidence around to support his claims. They would rather point fingers at him that at their beloved football program.

Yeah...I don't know...I still don't get the seething hatred for the Buckeyes. If you're a born and bread UM fan, that I can understand. But hating the Buckeyes because you love BG? It makes no sense. The teams rarely compete, they aren't in the same conference. What OSU does has very little bearing on BG and vice versa. Hating OSU becasue you are a BG Fan is like hating the Redskins because you love the Browns. One has very little bearing on the other...

OSU has it's issues, the same as almost every other big-time college program has it's. If we were a campus of 50k and were drawing 80-100k to the Doyt each game, bringing millions into campus, we'd have problems as well. When BG plays OSU, you are a traitorous scumbag if you are rooting against your alma mater. But otherwise, WHO CARES? We need to worry about our own business before we start working about others.

Kind of like hating the "skins cause you love the Browns (i.e. non-rational) , but different people have different reasons for disliking the Bucks. I'll also point out that, in fact, we are in the same hockey conference, compete in sports other than football fairly regularly.

I'll also throw out that I am a BG fan, Indians fan, and Browns fan- but I hate OSU(because of the fact growing up in NW Ohio I was surrounded by classmates who were OSU fans with no real allegiance to the school- parents didn't go ther etc., they just were Ohio State fans), I hate Colorado- rockies, broncos the state in general (because at my undergrad school the place was filled with Evian drinking, holier than thou Colorado 'natives' that rubbed me the wrong way) and I also hate the Packers (because living in Iowa for a few years you got annoyed with cheese, nasally accents, and Packer Mystique)

I think part of the dislike of OSU stems from the fact, that they pull our students away from supporting BG sports. It really sucks to see a half empty stadium, knowing that many people didn't show up so they could watch OSU. OSU probably sucks up a lot of people from all of the other schools in Ohio and in terms of media, we are just overshadowed by them. It really almost feels like the only college in Ohio is OSU sometimes.

I can understand that, but you can't hate a school because students of your alma mater are lemmings. And I can understand the frustration about THE Ohio State University (Thank you Gordon Gee). Personally, I check-in on Ohio State, but I am not a ravenous fan. When I lived in Michigan, UM fans were as obnoxious as Buckeye fans. The only thing is, since there is another large, Big 10 school here, it was somewhat balanced out. But wolverine fans are just as obnoxious and cocky as OSU fans. So I ended up rooting for OSU harder when I was there NOT because it was OSU, but the fact that they hail from the great state of Ohio.

Yeah, in some ways it just boils down to a little sibling complex.

I have always hated OSU. Attending BGSU and seeing empty stadiums, people asking for OSU scores at games, OSU clothing at games etc. only fueled my hate for them to another level.

I have little problem with the people who like both schools, but I feel like there is a right place and a right time to do it. I am a huge UK fan as I use to live in KY, but you'll never see me on this board talking them up. It's not the place to do it. As Doyt Perry stadium is not the place to wear red and see gray.

I was actually hoping he'd tear it up at the combine, just so we could see the mass of humanity pile up under the Clarett bandwagon when he became a stud in the NFL. I guess now only fans of McDonalds fry cooks can be excited...
