I was actually shocked when I heard that Krebs was on the list for that job anyway. I couldn't understand how with all the bad publicity OSU would want to bring in anyone connected to the past, Andy Geiger. Ohio State needs a good house cleaning and it will only work if they start from the top with someone "fresh" to the house.

So all the article says is that he was intriqued, and "who wouldn't be interested in the job". Maybe he was being polite. Can't say anything bad anymore, it could come back to bite you in the butt. Once again, I am trying to see everything slightly orange.

PGY: After reading the article, I'd say he was doing more than being polite, though he does cover his behind.

This quote sticks out, too ...

"Paul Krebs is the best AD I've ever come across in all my years at Bowling Green," said Mike Wilcox, a member of the BGSU's Board of Trustees and a former lacrosse All-American at the school in the early 1970s. "We certainly hope Paul doesn't leave, but we know there are no guarantees. Ohio State has always been like a dream job for him."

I would think Wilcox, as a member of the BOT would have some knowledge of what makes Krebs tick.

Anyway, the point is moot for now.
