Schade:

I wouldn't bet against it either. I'm just interested in - A) the source and B) details as in, who cast the lone "no" vote and are we talking all sports or just football?

The whole recent scheduling fiasco certainly creates the impression that Temple is starting a "hazing" period. I wonder, though, if WKU is going to join, will we see them filter into some MAC schedules? I know a few MAC schools have I-AA teams on their skeds; if WKU is coming to the MAC, wouldn't it make sense to give them some exposure, too?

Just a little more fodder...

I for one am totally against accepting any more schools into the MAC for just one sport. It's just crazy. Either Temple wants to play as a total member or the don't. I see it as an insult, and a slam to MAC football as well as basketball. We are the kind of conference that can take their crappy football team but not their precious basketball team? Screw them until they want to be a real member of the MAC.

I agree, they either join all sports or none at all. What does Temple football do for the MAC?

I do find it quite funny that an ACC athletic director is complaining about the effects of expansion. He must have a VERY short memory.
