A bigger problem is the fact that I-A programs will now be able to count a I-AA win toward bowl eligiblity *every* year. This means football factories will schedule more I-AA games. This was a sop to the I-AA leagues, which wanted a tougher attendance rule to keep schools from fleeing their division.
Tressel is already talking about the $4-5 million OSWho will be getting. They want to schedule 7-8 home games each year.

And you are right about the I-AA fiasco. Look for more BcS conference schools to play I-AA instead of the mid-majors they fear will beat them. Is that Southwest Missori State I see? on I-75 returning to Perry Stadium?

We actually played Southeast Missori State. ::Grin:: But with the rules change who knows, we might have to play SEMO and SWMO both in the same year! LOL

Actually, we'll still get our shots at the big programs for the sake of their SOS. We unwittingly kept Auburn out of the Orange Bowl last year by going with the bigger payout of playing OU. Auburn scheduled a D1-AA opponent in our place and they fell just short of the title game.

What finally is nice though is that we have a complete D1-A schedule this year, though Temple almost doesn't count! It would be nice if we could have scheduled them first before going up to Madison, but I think we'll still be able to handle them without the tune-up.
