I thought I was reading the TU boards with all of those prior excuses for posts.

I don't know what the big damn deal is. When I was in Spain people were taking leaks everywhere -- including the cops...

You're not a MALE if you've never done this. I think its the first thing you learn after you can stand up on your own.

You gotta watch doing that on campus late at night. They have those cops on bikes now. I saw one guy going on the side of Eppler the other night and a bike cop pulled up behind him and just sat there without saying anything until the kid was finished and turned around. I got a good laugh out of that one.

I understand the desire to present the best team on gameday, and I do not deny that I agree, but with the recent number of events like this, I think that maybe they should be suspended... I have no doubt that Brandon would suspend them, not only as punishment, but also as a real reminder to the team that, as someone put earlier, "enough is enough." Do I want to see them lose - hell no - but I'd rather have the players suspended than have Bowling Green get a reputation for having rough and rowdy boys chalked up to "boys will be boys." Boys become men and as representatives of the university, they need to get that straight.
All students are representatives of the university. Football players are no more an exception than a full ride National Merit Scholar. What if some Honors student took a pee on the street after too many coffees while studying late one night down town and couldn't make it back to his dorm. SHould you suspend him from two classes. They will have to pay a city fine, and therefore have attoned for there crime against public decency. Peeing on the street is not rough and rowdy, and is nothing more than a blip in the local paper.

First of all how is this even major news?? This should not warrant being suspended at all, just a nice little talk by head coach Gregg Brandon. Is urinating behind a bar idiotic , yes , but this does not chalk up to a DUI or something like that.

Suspension for taking a wee? Come on. I wouldn't be surprised if players haven't taken a wee on the practice field because it is too big of a pain to go to the locker room. If that is the case, I just hope that they didn't do grass drills in the area afterwards.

Since Teddy's incident, I understand that the seniors have ALL been running early in the morning. I wonder how far they will have to run now?

Why even bother with going on the side of a building? Just go man, Oh...that's really warm.

While I tend to agree, its also getting to be a pain to figure out where the "line" is. Do you suspend everyone who appears in the blotter? And if not, how do you figure out what's a suspendable offense and what's not? Some are obviously more serious than others, of course. DUI's, assaults, drug possession, etc. should be suspensions no questions asked, but what do you do with the minor offenses? Of course, the utopian answer would be to keep our guys out of the newspaper altogether, but I think we all know that things will happen.

Good to hear they've been running after the Piepkow incident, hopefully that really is a wakeup call to stop the nonsense before it IS something serious.

Well, there are some the believe football players actually do that. You get out on the field with all that gear and it is a real pain to go to the bathroom to take a leak. Two points: 1) I don't think the Center is allowed to do this for obvious reasons. 2) I think some RBs do it in order to make their pants a little slipperier and thus harder to tackle.
