I believe he learned proper punctuation there.

The "A" was almost indiscernable on the broadcast but was there.
I still say he didn't say the "A" and he messed up the quote. The quote obviously makes more sense to add in the "A", but unless by indiscernable you mean not pronounced.

Now I see where that degree from purdue comes in. No need for punctuation  or joining words.

Good thing he didn't make the first moon landing today. He would have REALLY slaughtered "one small step for a non-gender-specific person, one giant leap for non-gender-specifickind"

I just assumed that it was a better academic achievement to get a degree from Purdue University than it was to get one from Bowling Green. Apparently I was completely wrong. I just always assumed when heading into the business world a degree from a prestigous school like Purdue would sound better than one from Bowling Green... is that in Kentucky? Keep up the 2.7 GPA's y'all.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

NCAA BG rankings...

You'd thought that we'd be at least a B+ or A for offense.

Perhaps if you're going to Purdue for Engineering, since Purdue is usually ranked around the top 10 in the nation, then I can see going to Purdue being important. Purdue has very good business school, but from what I hear is that Purdue is not the most presitigous school even in the midwest. If you want a prestigious degree in business, then you need to go to Haaarvard, Stanford, Penn or MIT. The top midwestern schools are Northwestern, Chicago, Michigan and even OSU. IMO, it doesn't really matter to much beyond the top-tier schools becasue after this point a college degree is usually looked upon as degree that hopefully means that you can think on your own, but not to much being that its a business degree and all.

Never assume.

If that is what you would like to think, then I am not going to argue with you. I may not agree with you, but I will respect your opinion.

My question to a student comes down to this when they are asking which college is better: When you are walking across that stage and getting your diploma, do you think a degree from XYZ instutition is going to be worth it? If so, then XYZ is a great institution for you to attend. If not, then you need to continue looking for the right school.

Also, instead of the smart-ass remark about "Keep up the 2.7 GPA's y'all" you should have been more clever, something like "FUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL PUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!"

Hey, don't take anything personal. Your posts have been pretty good and thought out, so no one is taking offense to anything you say. However, when you have a trait like not using punctuation and then you do, some people are going to point it out and make a little joke. Most guys are pretty sarcastic here to begin with. That and quite a few have journalism/english/education backgrounds (I just write a lot of papers), it comes natural to them to edit things. From the time I have talked with TG, I know didn't mean anything personal, and has recently just pulled the same stuff on me. Sling it back at him. A little university joking is to be expected as well but isn't meant in harm. Wait for miamibando to come back, we go back and forth with him all the time.

Exactly. I couldn't have said it better myself, even if I was a self-aggrandizing snob like PGY.
