yes i am informed, im just saying it sucks a team like us has to play Boise b/c we both need to be getting into Decemeber with no losses and having wins on our schedule that appear bigger than they are. My point being as a BG fan i dont want to lose ever, but its hard for me to say i want to go in there and kill BSU b/c they are similar to us in trying to get there program better known by upsetting bigger schools... it will be about the only time that you wont catch me excessively celebrating if we win.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

First of all welcome to all boise fans. It's nice to not hear things like "Boise will have little trouble with BGSU." like we hear from wisky and you hear from UGA.

Second, what if Boise beats UGA? We will be traveling to a top 10 team with a chance to completely dominate media coverage for a full 3-4 days. I'll take that any day over a ho-hum beating of missouri or northwestern....one of the so-called big boys =) Another benefit is Boise is willing to come here next year. You think alabama is going to come play at the Doyt? I think I might understand where you're coming from, but I completely disagree. I have never been more excited for a game than I am for the Boise game. they are getting tons more respect on a national level this year than nebraska and alabama. A win over them would propel us towards BCS heights while a win over a crappy major-conf team would do us very little good.

1boisebro,

Thanks for the kind words. I have a TON of respect for the Boise State program and watch them every chance I get on TV. I am more concerned about the Broncos than any other team we will face this year. You guys just drill people!

But I am confident BG will be just as good and this 2 game series in '05 and '06 will be great. If the "big boys" don't wanna come to our stadiums, let's play each other.

Sure like to make it out there for the game but no can do. It will be ESPN for me. I love the look of your stadium on TV even though that blue field is kinda weird.

Looking forward to an excellent series....best of luck as we both look to crash the BCS!!!!

GO FALCONS!

BTW, I've been on your site and you folks are great.

Hey Falcon fans

I'm 1boisebro's keeper on the broncocountry board. Sorry about his rambling post, I didn't get him his meds this morning. :D

Anyhow, we are very excited about the opportunity to play the Falcons over the next two seasons and think this is a perfect matchup of two very good teams trying to earn more respect. Your fans are a breath of fresh air, anyone who has visited our board and read posts from UGa and Oregon State fans will know what I am talking about.

You guys should be able to handle Wisconsin. I'm still up in the air about Georgia (but it will be close either way), and Oregon State shouldn't be a problem. That will lead in to a great game!

Take care!

Hi Boise!

Nice posts. Very cute. Just gotta add one thing though: your football field is REALLY ugly!

(Sorry, just had to say it though)

Eh, the Blue field isn't for everyone

I like it. It's unique. It was a PR trick that worked. When a Boise State home game is on TV, there's no need to ask who is playing! :D

Don't worry about it, we have several on this board that need their regular meds (Right, Flip? ). Welcome to the board! It's great hearing from opposing fans who have respect for our program. Hope our fans treat you as well on your board!! Should be a great matchup!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Is that the general concensus in Boise Country?
By the time the season gets here, I suspect most sportswriters and casters would say the same thing of any team on our schedule.*

I agree. It makes my eyes hurt, but I agree.

We have a wonderful grass field, and we should keep it.

But if we *had* to go with the new artificial stuff -- I think brown would be a fun color.

I have thought about this extensively - if we went with brown (I know Schad, your favorite) how hard would it be to spot the ball? Not only on the field, but from the stands - any time one was looking down on the field.

No, it would have to be Orange ;)

Brown would make it look too much like dirt.

Well, if you guys remember the MAC championship a few years ago, the field was all brown, with the exception of some green-painted mud, to resemble grass. Stick with grass.

Personally, I'm excited about the blue field and can't wait to see it! Most of you probably think it's ugly because we don't have an orange one yet and are jealous :P

Are you serious? Ya, that's the consensus in the Western Hemisphere... that kid's a baller. I love Z, but if we had Jacobs playing our old QB Dinwiddie (holds the all-time NCAA QB pass efficiency rating) it would have been the offensive battle of the century... As it is, it'll be one heck of a show. BGSU faithful, please come out to Bois-town for lots, and lots of beers, cause it's gonna be a beauty... :D
