Hmmm....interesting thoughts, BO.

I think Florida will finish in the Top 5 this year. And Purdue has a ton of starters back and DOES NOT play Michigan OR Ohio State in '05. Heck, they should win the Big 11 just on that.

Steele's preview is loaded with info...and he puts a ton of time into this every year.

Hope the Arizona way of life is fine for ya, bro. :D

I think Florida will win a national title within 3 years...wouldn't surprise me in the least to see them in the top 5-10 this season. Zook brought a ton of talent in there and couldn't coach a lick. Urban will take that talent and dominate with it...best coach in the country for my money.

I do believe that Chris Leak will become an instant heisman contender in Meyer's offense. He did it with J5, he did it with Alex Smith; I'm pretty sure he can do it with a kid who was the #1 HS recruit coming into college.

Even with that in mind, I still think you need to have Omar ahead of him now, and CERTAINLY Reggie McNeal. Heck I don't see how you can make a case for Vince Young. VY isn't a QB, he's a RB who throws the ball sometimes. Going into the season the ONLY QB that I can realistically see rated ahead of Omar is Leinart, and even then its close. Lienart won a heisman & national title, so that bumps him ahead of Omar, but Omar had better numbers.

Freak summed up Purdue pretty well. They've got a good team, and dodge OSU & UM this year. They're everybody's outside shot for the Big 10, because of that fact. Personally I see both OSU & UM having a shot at running the table this year, so I don't think Purdue wins it, but they could. Even if they do win the Big10 I don't think they're even close to the #3 team in the country.
