have you changed the lightbulbs in your scoreboad?

This could end up looking like a BGSU Boise State basketball game... 100-97

Right. Like our basketball team could score 100... or 97 even.

Scoring 100 on Urbana is like taking your sister to the prom.

Yeah its cool you get to go to the prom and all and your sister may be hot(per your buddies comments), but you are somewhat embarrassed to be in the situation at all.

Yeah, but if its Urbana, you can score at will. Even if it is your sister. :D

Boise State may beat us. Boise State may even beat us by a few touchdowns. I have to concede that's possible.

But 59-3? Isn't that the score someone was suggesting?

That's insane. I don't think there is a team in the country that would beat the Falcons 59-3, and I think most here would agree with me on that.

Oklahoma was the third-best team in the country last year, and they only beat us 40-24.

Who out there is going to clock us 59-3?

I don't see it.

dude it doesn't matter because I know they are fair-weather fans....but that is no excuse. If I ever saw a fair-weather BG fan speaking that way I would be posting and jumping all over his ass, because it makes our team, our school and our fans look like a bunch of moronic losers. The biggest problem that I have is people who refuse to acknowledge blatant things about their team.

Like I said earlier, I would never in my right mind claim BG were a top team, deserving of huge respect, if we had the record against BCS conference teams as you have (being 8 years new to I-A is NO excuse!.....see Marshall), if we barely and I mean BARELY beat teams like SJSU, Tulsa and BYU. And I would never talk up our rush defense if its because we were so far ahead after the first quarter that the crappy WAC and OOC teams were forced to pass the ball the rest of the game...

I would never talk up Omar if he hadn't played, and shined against 4 very good bowl teams.....(Oklahoma, NIU, Toledo, Memphis). I also realize that we lost to the 3 best teams we played and that we also played some crappy MAC teams just like Boise did with WAC teams. However, we badly beat those crappy MAC teams.

My point is that I am a REALISTIC fan; I concede the faults of my team, and am realistic of both how good we are and what we "deserve". You try to say some of these things to Boise fans and they don't acknowledge them, rather come back and attack your team with what I just conceded and then a score prediction of 58-17 or 45-20. The problem is that if Boise fans conceded their faults, they wouldn't be able to claim they are a top 20 team. I think Boise is deserving of where they were in the polls (except last year), but my problem with Boise is that they don't play anyone but Fresno each year (thank god this year is different). So, we don't know how good they really are (Louisville was a great team last year, and while the game was close on paper.....Louisville had double the offensive yards and gave up 4 or 5 turnovers, leading to a lot of Boise points). So, again, didn't get to see Boise play against a team that showed up.....

With Bowling Green, you could see how we do against Oklahoma, NIU, Toledo, Miami(OH), Ohio State, Purdue, Missouri, Kansas, Northwestern....and you will see that we do consistently well against all those teams.

WHEW....thats all I can say for now, that was tiring lol :D .....no matter what, this game will be determined on the field and Boise has the advantage because it is in Boise.....No matter what happens the two weeks before this game.....no team will win by more than 10 points, and I have to give the edge to Boise because it is a home game. I doubt many of you Boise fans would say you give BG the edge if the game were in BG.....that is what I mean about REALISTIC.....I think we are like 20-2 at home since 2001.

I really couldn't disagree with you any less.

Looking forward to a great game.

BTW: If BSU was @BGSU this year I would feel about the same as you do.

Next year @ BGSU? Who knows.

I hope Omar doesn't go to the NFL early. :)

You should have tried it from our angle.

I believe we're all in agreement that this particular fan is young, perhaps inexperienced, but definitely opinionated.
Think our very own Puppy - except outside the friendly confines of AZZ.com.

SDBronco, you're a quality fan as are most of your fans. This is going to be a great match-up.

It seems like every Boise fan on there is impossible to get to. But that is pretty much how everyone on those ESPN boards act. They are mostly rejects of real boards and/or pathetic losers. Falconfreak and I use to post on the ESPN boards a good bit, but it is hardly worth it. I am right and you are wrong is the only way to go there.

I gave up on the ESPN boards after they changed their formatting all around, but you're right. There was a small handful of good guys on the MAC board there (even UT and Marshall fans, oh my!), but the rest needed to get back in their holes and not come out again.

Yeah i think they changed the format twice. Initially it was really bad so I just gave up on it. ...You are right. There were like 5-6 people who consistently posted over there but it was not worth it with trolls like OHIO replying to everything.

I forgot about OHIO... but you're right. He's the prime example of what I meant. I posted over there as bg96. It was a nice group, for the most part. I actually went to the MCB two years ago with one of the UT fans and his wife.
