How did Miami end up 13-1, if season's are supposed to have 11 games(not including conference championships, and bowl games?) Or was that before the rule?

That was a 12 game year in 2003. so 12 regular games, 1 MACC, 1 bowl game=14 games. when all is said and done, 13-1.
BG was 11-3 that year (2 losses to Miami, one to OSU)

More bowl teams will be available with 11-game schedules.

They will be less likely with 12-game schedules -- unless the NCAA steps in and allows .500 teams to start going.

Kent 6-5, 5-3 MAC
Ohio 5-6, 4-4 MAC
Akron 4-7, 3-5 MAC
Buffalo 3-8, 2-6 MAC

West:

NIU 8-3, 7-1 MAC
UT 8-3, 6-2 MAC (loss to BG and NIU, Ball State or Ohio U)
EMU 6-5, 4-4 MAC
WMU 5-6, 3-5 MAC
CMU 4-7, 3-5 MAC
Ball St 1-10, 1-7 MAC

My Heart says that Miami wins the Ohio Division-1A crown after beating all D-1a schools in the state. But my head says never in a million years will Miami do that. Oh well, it's worth a wish isn't it?

MB,
That could happen! I picked BG to win in Oxford but that could very easily not happen. The 'Hawks are gonna be tough again in 2005. Wth Zwick at QB for the opener in the Shoe? I give Miami a pretty decent shot at pulling it off.
I feel the road game at NIU could be a loss...but Miami is the only team to defeat UT at the GB in the last 5-6 years so who knows?

Should be another classic season of MAC football.... :D

BG, Miami and NIU winning on Sept 3 would blow Sept 20, 2003 outta the water. That would RULE!

GO FALCONS!!! 40 days....or 960+ hours. We are officially under 1000 hours til kickoff. :D
