Rhett is supposed to be - wait for it - a BETTER recruit than Cole from what I hear.redskins4ever wrote:I havea $50 bet that Cole makes an NFL roster this year... the kid is awesome... I hope his brother is great for BG as well!

You'll get your $50 if his play keeps up like this, and you should go to a game in BG. In fact, go to at least four to make up for my abscence.

More today from Ron Mexico:
Q: After the game on Saturday, you mentioned some words about Cole Magner. What does it take for him to stick around?
Vick: The kid hasn't dropped a ball since he's been here. That's all I can say. I'm not saying that to jinx him, but he hasn't dropped a ball. You see him make the tough grabs and the wild catches that Jim (Mora) is looking for. He does it all. He's a smart guy. He always lines up in the right spots. You can tell he's a rookie, but at the same time he almost treats himself like a veteran with the way he comes to play and the way he comes to practice. It's great to see that in Cole. I'm pretty sure if he continues to that, the future is bright for him. He has a great opportunity.
Q: There are guys like Cole and Jimmy Farris that try to make NFL teams. If they don't have the size, what do you need?
Vick: He's got smarts, he's got quickness and he's got hands. It looks like he would be a good slot guy. It's all about giving guys the opportunity and when you have talent it's going to show. The coaches are going to see it, not just the players, but the coaches will pick up on it, which is more important than us. That will give you a chance to make the football team, which I know is everyone's dream.

Didn't see anything about starting at WR, but it looks like Cole is gonna get his fair chance at punt returns.

From Thursday's Atlanta Journal Constitution...
"Magner, Mosley to return punts
Free agent wide receivers Cole Magner and Kendrick Mosley will return punts this week, Mora said. Magner returned two punts for an average of 21.5 yards in last weeks' 16-3 victory over Baltimore. Mosley fair caught the ball in his only attempt.
Pro Bowl returner Allen Rossum has not been used in that capacity yet for precautionary reasons. He likely will return punts against Jacksonville, Mora said."
