I think that may be a tacit way to push SOS. Would forcing a 6-home/6-away schedule land Ohio State at The Doyt? Probably not, but it might force Ohio State to schedule some pretty good teams on the road.

My thinking is this - Ohio State wouldn't come to a mid-major stadium, for financial reasons as well as prestige. The one "wild hair" might be scheduling "road games" at the pro stadiums in Cleveland (vs. BG, Kent, Akron) or Cincy (Cincy, Miami).

Gee I wonder if at half time GB will walk the crowd and ask if any wants to play for while?

Yeah, as in "Tack" We're close, but we just can quite make "tackle".

My last attempt didn't take, so I'll make this somewhat shorter. Assuming that the 6-6 plan is a good idea (I have my reservations), there are still too many obstacles. Coaches and administrators wouldn't like it, the large and odd number of 1-A teams would cause problems. Would games with 1-AA teams be restricted? Would there be enough large and neutral venues available for BG-Wisconsin type "home" games?
