You want to take that Sandy Valley league nonsense to a different board?
JS,

I don't get your drift. Are you saying Dover plays a soft schedule or is a "small school" that can't play? I'd put Dover up against Wadsworth and give you 10 points. Percy Gardner, JR QB & getting looks from some college programs, has thrown for over 400 yards at least 4 times this year. He threw SEVEN TD passes in the FIRST half last week vs. Indian Valley. Dover has pitched 3 shutouts on defense.
That's against a schedule that includes playoff bound teams Massillon (9-0), Northwest (7-2), Cambridge (8-1, only loss to Dover) and possibly Orrville (5-4)...with New Philadelphia (8-1, only loss to Cambridge) yet to play.

I'll admit the ECOL isn't the strongest league. Dover, New Phila, Cambridge, Coshocton, Meadowbrook, Claymont and Indian Valley make up the league. Dover, New Phila and Cambridge should all be in the post season. I don't know if Meadowbrook can still get in. But Dover tries like heck to play the best schedule possible. Massillon beat Dover 34-0 in this year's opener. Dover is Div 3. They did better against the Tigers than any other team except for a couple schools named Cleveland St Ignatius & Warren G Harding. Coach Dan Ifft also schedules Orrville every year. He had a nice series with Lake every year up until last yr. He's scheduled Canton Central Catholic. This year, the series with Northwest was added. Four years ago, Dover hosted Suburban League Green and lost 7-6 on a missed extra point. (Boy, do we know.) As a BG fan, I'd think you'd understand the situation of a "smaller school".

BTW, Dover is the 12th most successful HS program in Ohio HS history, with an updated all-time record of 582-320-44....#11 is Cleveland St Ignatius. And Dover is 3-6-1 lifetime against Massillon.

GO DOVER!~~BEAT PHILA!

Western also starts two true freshmen corners that will be matched up with Chuck and Steve Sanders.
Good call Joe!!!
May I be the first to say: UNCALLED FOR.
Hard to argue with the irony, brother. :(

I'm sure no UT fan has ever made false predictions about, say, Ball State away games, Fresno State, Connecticut, Miami (OH), Kansas, Minnesota, Boston College....
