I think this loss brings out the reality check we have been needing. Sadly we lost Omar in it, and yet while an excelent QB he does not carry this team. this team is a team and need to get back beging the the team that won against Memphis....with defenders that swarmed ball carriers, a line that consistantly push back O linemen. An O line that controll scrimage....and an O game plan that is fast paced. No offense but when we slowed the O's play calliing tempo...we started to suck, playing at the laborous tempo everyone eles does...fast quick and decisive is BGSU football.

We will shall overcome...and i think losing at this point in the season, with what is known and what lay ahead could not have been at a better time...its out of the way..we can move past it, and realy build from it.

It's not just 1 loss...it's 3. And realistically, there could be more.

Loss at Wisconsin: Not a surprise. Disappointing but the offense was amazing. Not terribly upsetting.

Loss at Boise: Not a surprise. Where was the offense? Where was the defense? Very upsetting at the performance, not the loss. Reason for concern!

Loss vs. WMU: W-T-F! BIG SURPISE! Omar's hurt. Where's the defense?

We've beaten nothing but cupcakes, people. Cupcakes! Temple is pathetic. Ball State is pathetic (and we BARELY beat them). OU is average. Buffalo is, well, Buffalo. 3 of the 4 teams we beat are among the 10 worst teams IN THE COUNTRY!

Please, someone, convince me that we can beat Miami. I think they'll destroy us! Convince me that Toledo won't roll us! I'm not even convinced that AKRON won't take us out!

And don't give me the line that "it's just 1 loss". We're 4-3. Yeah, we can still win the MAC, and I hope we do. But I don't see how we get past Miami and Toledo with the way BG has played so far this year!

I think we can beat UT, as its a rivalry game and we're at home. I've seen better teams than this year's UT squad lose to worse teams than this year's BG squad. This rivalry has been dominated by the home team since I became a BG fan. Not guaranteeing a win, but for that reason we certainly have a chance.

I think we're a underdog to Miami right now, but they're pretty much in the same boat as us. They have not looked impressive in some of their wins, and have lost to a couple teams they shouldn't have. It is at Oxford though, so I think we're about a 3 point dog, for home field. Neither of these 2 teams has lived up to it's preseason billing at all.

In the end we are a mediocre football team. Good news for us is that mediocre could be good enough to win the MAC. We can still do it, but I'm not overly optimistic.
