We have a pretty good group of seniors who have seen their last year get wasted....and that's partly their fault because they didn't provide the leadership. They should feel cheated
We have a coaching staff that wasted a pretty good group of seniors by not preparing them to play mentally or physically. We're getting manhandled by teams that aren't as talented as we are when it counts. We don't think we can force the issue when it counts and at this juncture, we probably can't physically.
We fumbled on 4th and goal, they pounded it home....that's the simplest way to put it. The coaches should feel cheated, too.
The people in charge of the program and the players like to talk about what a great family atmosphere we have here. That's a really easy mind set to espouse when things are going well and you aren't facing any adversity. We'll see if the players and coaches have what it takes to honestly assess the situation and fix it for next year. That will be a far bigger test of Gregg Brandon as a head coach than anything he's faced here to date.
I couldn't agree more, Flip. Proof is in the pudding and now that adversity has perched on our shoulder, we'll see what we're made of. Nothing would make me happier to see BG come together and win these last 3 games. I hate to be negative but at the rate we're going, that is gonna be difficult.
Do we fight thru it and get back to BG football or fold like a tent?
I certainly hope it isn't the latter.

Last Monday was not alot of fun going to work especially when you work with quite a few Big Ten fans, mainly Michigan so called fans. You know the ones, the ones who if they don't win a national championship every year the year was a failure. Don't get me going on that. But I'm sure tomarrow will be just about as fun as last week.

Agreed 99.9%, Flip... but I'd like to see if they have what it takes to assess the situation and fix it for THIS year. It might be quite the uphill battle after the past two weeks, but I'd love to think that this team has enough pride to turn it around. The Miami(OH) game will be a huge test, but wanting to welcome UT to The Doyt with a hearty ass-kicking should not even be a question.
