The pep band that went to the Miami game in 2003 was treated horribly.
- They directed the band buses to be parked in a muddy section of a makeshift parking lot.
- The "dinner" that they provided us consisted of a few boxes of subs that were soggy from sitting on the damp ground.
- They didn't have seats saved for us when we showed up at Yager, so they had to clear out a corner of the Miami student section for us.
- Miami students kept walking through the band to get to their seats throughout the game.
- They threw stuff at us and blew cigarette smoke down on us.
- On our way back to the buses Miami students yelled some of the worst insults I've ever heard at us.
(Bandies who went: did I forget anything?)
I have to give credit to the Miami band, though; a few of them came over to say hi and gave us pop and candy. The band members were very friendly.
Aside from that, though, I think it's pretty clear why we wouldn't want to send another pep band to Miami.

SWEET!!! Since the Miami fans were dicks last time, I see that as incentive to bring more band members down, if nothing else just to annoy the hell outta them!!
Hopefully this time they'll sit the band with the BG fans! Don't worry though, I'll be there and I got your back

I see your Swartz is as big as mine!

Ah, rumors.
There is not, I repeat, NOT, a pep band going to the Miami game.
However, the FMB director did cancel practice next Tuesday evening so that we band members may attend the game if we so desire.
Quite a few bandies are attending, but not as part of a pep band-- just as fans. Maybe that's what your buddy meant.
