Relax.. I just think your predictions, glass-mostly-empty take on things is "getting old."
Simple as that - nothing against you.
I don't follow you around... just seem to find the same sort of statements popping up across this board.

C'mon guys. I was just trying to get a conversation going about Omar. If you've got grievances with one another save 'em for Festivus.

Like I said, it's cool when people agree or disagree with my posts, or any other post from anyone on this board for that matter. I agree and disagree with posts all the time. For the ones I disagree with, I still read them and it at least gets me to look at things a different way than I see them and I can at least appreciate another take on it. But I don't continue to chime up with a comment after every one of them. What I find is “getting old” on this board is all the people (excluding Grant) who try to tell people what to write about. If we can’t speak our “opinions” on this board, which is what we do just about every time we make a post, than what can we post on here?

When it comes to predictions or my concerns, I'm only speaking my mind and what I feel. That’s it. If I think we’re going to win or lose, that's just my opinion. For the record, I've only ever picked against us vs. Boise State this season. I feel that was a good pick after the result. It might have been "negative" to some, but it was accurate. I did pick us to beat WMU and Akron, and we lost those games, so it’s not like I pick against us just for the hell of it. Do I think we're going to be Miami? No. Do I think we can beat Miami? Yes. But I said despite my prediction, I really hope I am wrong. I’ll say it again, “I hope I am wrong.”

But my predictions can’t all be that bad, I did win MAC Pick ‘Em in basketball this past season ( http://www.pickemgames.com/MAC/ ). Again, just going with my opinion.

Me too, and I said that in another thread. If you read the quotes in this weeks release, Omar commented on what happened when Turner got hurt Sat. Omar said he had no intention whatsoever (or something like that) of going into the game. He wasn't healed then and I don't think he will be in another week. Again, just my gut feeling. All those that think he will play are doing a lot of wishful thinking. There is no evidence whatsoever to make one think that Omar can be on the field in another week. :(

Well, the good thing is, the game is still another week away. If he's not able to play right now, he might be able to in a week. But if he's able to practice as reported, that's at least a decent sign he might be able to go. I have my doubts too that he'll play, but all I can do is hope he can.

Omar will play in this game. I'm choosing to ignore all opposition evidence and make up my own doctor's reports =)

We are going to send signals right up until gameday that Omar is still not ready. Then, Omar will lead us onto the field and fire the guys up so much that they will win that huge road game and the MAC East.

God I hope Omar plays....if he doesn't, my prediction ain't gonna be pretty. I love AT and think he'll be a fantastic QB, but I don't think our watered down offense will be enough to hang with Miami. Maybe they would let AT run the Omar spread, but that seems pretty unlikely at this point.

If I was Brandon I would have told Omar to say he's in the most amount of pain he's ever been in, then have Omar run out of the tunnel at Miami and throw it 50 times.

But hey, just me...

Call me crazy, but I smell a faint hint of crying wolf with Omar right now. He was catching balls with 2 hands on the sidelines, so he can't be hurting too much.

Let's all recall Mr. Leftwich's play in the I think 2003 MACC and how he gutted it out. Personally, I'll be disappointed if Omar doesn't play, 100% or not...we need him.

I think Omar will be back. He will be back because the team needs him. When talking with a player over the last few weeks about AT he has been rather confident in his ability to get the W. But when asked this week if Omar would be able to play he just said I sure hope so. While the players believed AT could get them through the last few games, they don’t quite feel the same about Miami. If the players are questioning if AT can get them through Miami, they lost before they started. Omar has to start, so I think (hope) he will.

Brad Fanning seemed more optimistic about Omar playing during his newscast on Fox 36 tonight. He noted that Omar is out of the sling and lifting again. That gives him another week to get some strength back. My hunch is that he gives it a go

Re Wamer...you're relying on Norm knowing right from left. That's a rather dicey proposition.

I got that feeling from Brad as well. I also think Omar wouldn't be addressing the media if he wasn't playing or close to game shape...I just see a smoke screen going up here of "it'll be day to day" to when 6pm of Tuesday the 15th, Omar is taking majority of the warmup snaps at Yager.

As I said, though, Flip, Omar actually stated, "I'll demonstrate with my right arm."

I don't know if he'll play or not, but the impression I got from the interview was that even if he does give it a go, he won't be even close to 100%.

I caught the interview as I was driving home from work, and I got the same impression as Hammb. I believe at one point Omar said he was 50-50 as to whether or not he would play at all the rest of the season.

Chances are we are going to be sending mixed signals on Omar's status for the next week, and Miami is going to be preparing for both Omar and Turner. I doubt if anyone outside the program will know if Omar is going to play until gametime Tuesday. Until then it is all just speculation.
