No one decent would want the OSU job, my butt. That job has been one of the most coveted in college football.
They were picking between Glen Mason and Tressel....IIRC, Ty Willingham, Jon Gruden and Walt Harris all told them "no". In 2001, it wasn't looked at as being a very attractive job for a number of reasons.
The other of the final candidates was Spielman, as I recall. Who had no coaching experience at all.

Coach just tweeted that it's time to get excited for our WKU matchup in August.

Hopefully that means we can expect some news on who will be his assistants before long. I'm getting impatient. Of course, being trapped in the house for several days isn't helping.

Assistants!

KSAN- presumbaly in San Antonio reports on Twitter (19h ago) that Sterlin Gilbert had reached an agreement for a position at Bowling Green. He has been Coach Babers' OC/QB the past two seasons at Eastern Illinois and is a former Texas HS head coach

Other Twitter items of interest . . .

Andrew Sowder (Outside WR), Sean Lewis (Inside WR) and Tom Kaufman (LB and Cleveland native) have all mentioned being position coaches at BG in their bio's . . .

We THINK Larry McDaniel (DL) and Nick Monroe (CB) are being retained.

That said, several of the coaching sites, FootballScoop.com and CoachingSearch.com, have mentioned Mike Lynch (RBs) and Kim McCloud (DC/S) as also coming along.

Matt Mattox was the OL coach at EIU and presumably would be coming along as well.

I don't know who picks up ST, but my pure guess is Coach Babers or Kim McCloud would pick that up.

Lynch was retweeting BG stuff

Monroe is still tweeting BG stuff.
McDaniel's page is vague although it still says BG dline coach he might not update a bunch.

Unfortunately we already have an offensive line coach it seems. Bad Timing and Babers likely never has even met him.

It appears that all the on-the-field and off-the-field roles are filled but Coach Stud is someone you make room for if you can get him. Perhaps this is the reason for why nothing has been officially announced when it's an open secret who all the new people are.

There's also the Mary Ellen Gillespie Associate AD role that has yet to be filled. There is nobody listed in the directory with an administrative supervisory role over the football program (Irvine has basketball, baseball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming and volleyball; Elsasser has hockey & golf; Shook has tennis)

Can Stud fundraise? I wouldn't say no to him.

I think that it would be tough to deny him a role with the football program. Bad timing more than anything. I don't think he will struggle finding another job.
