9/2 at Tennessee
Re: 9/2 at Tennessee
Defense looks totally gassed. They've really played pretty well to this point so all kinds of credit. Certainly aided by the offense churning out some first downs.

I mean who thought four minutes into the fourth that Tennessee wouldn't have hit 30s yet? I presumed Tennessee would score in the 50s for the game which would put them likely in the 40s by now.

Re: 9/2 at Tennessee
Give the offensive line some time to gain muscle and experience and then running there makes sense but right now the run game is nonexistent. It was actually a decent play that gave a chance.

I think the focus on the weight room is paying off. So many missed tackles the last five plus years. This team has been tackling really well!

It's awful. I have tried to watch it,and bg wasn't as awful as I expected but the quality of football between these 2 games is night and day.Globetrotter wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 10:24 pm Back to watching OSU vs Minnesota. I think it's great you guys still watch this. It's not for me anymore.
Unfortunately Minnesota's dude may have popped his Achilles and this one is over too most likely.
Re: 9/2 at Tennessee
Tennessee hits a 43 yard field goal to extend their lead.
With 9:36 left in the 4th quarter, Tennessee leads 31-6.

Next week against South Alabama will be a better measuring stick. I agree the team looks way stronger than last year but still has lots to gain for future years in the conditioning department. Really curious to see how the team goes against a similar caliber program.

Interesting that Labronz Davis and not Tucker Melton is in the game.

Yeah. They were more competitive than expected but can't just call it a morale victory and be happy. Need to see similar effort play itself out by competing and beating Mac teams.MarkL wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 11:12 pm Next week against South Alabama will be a better measuring stick. Tennessee does not look good at all, Milton is awful.
Re: 9/2 at Tennessee
My guess is since he's been practicing on a "pitch count", no sense in damaging the shoulder. Get Davis, maybe also Melton some experience. I'd like to see Davis do more than just hand off.

Tennessee, still with their starters in for some unknown reason, throws a deep TD pass.
38-6 with 5 minutes to play.
