WMU is getting hammered by Ga Southern, 33-9, late in the 3rd and has a total of 199 yards of offense. Hmm....

If we don't win it is an upset. We are the better team and really it should not be this close.

I think it was 20-20 when I posted this and I stand behind it as my biggest takeaway of the game. I was very impressed by our ability to get our lbs to the edge...they didn't have the speed to turn the corner like power teams often do. We also had a number of plays where our defenders won one on one match ups fighting through blocks and making tackles. On offense they were no match. We were faster, coppet and Greene ran through arm tackles, and we flat out wore them out. By the time the 4th quarter rolled around their defense wanted nothing to do with trying to keep up with our offense.

It is very fashionable to dog our defense but they were outstanding today. Before the rash of ints, that was just icing.

It is also fashionable to complain about this type of football . Well today you saw how it is supposed to work. Had they executed and put up points in the first half this game would have been over by the third quarter. By scoring and playing for Tds we put pressure n Maryland to try and keep up, which they couldn't do. More importantly with the tempo we played at by the time Thea fourth quarter rolled around they wanted nothing to do with defending us and were completely incapable of doing so.

Exactly Hammb. We finally saw what Babers envisions this team doing ... and this is game 2. They will improve on all fronts, which is a scary thought for the rest of the conference.

MD will win 3-5 Big Ten games this year. Their defense is built to stop powerful strong offenses but they were out-speeded by a much more athletic set of playmakers. It was a matchup nightmare for them.

And our D. Wow. Brian Ward is the biggest personnel difference from last year to this year. The defense had the experience of our 2011 defense but they played like Elko's last two defenses. We have got an excellent DC. The future is very bright for our program.

Memphis is mauling Kansas. They'll be coming to BG with a 2-0 record having scored well over 100 points. This very well could be our second toughest non-conference test.

Oklahoma came back and beat Tennessee

Tennessee has let Oklahoma hang around too long and have paid for it.

Not taking anything away from Memphis because that is a beat down but Kansas is bad. They lost to South Dakota state the week before.
