Josh Croslen has signed on with his hometown school, UT-San Antonio. Glad he ended up on a roster somewhere. He has a ton of talent. I'd guess he gets a waiver for this year since he moved back home.

Kyle Junior left or was dismissed from Okie St. Not sure if he can catch on with another school at this point.

James Harris Jr. announced yesterday on Twitter that he is entering his name in the transfer portal. Odd timing, but it sounds like there just wasn't really a future for him to get good playing time here with the really talented young DBs, plus more coming in. He played sparingly on special teams this year. Best of luck to him.

South FL guy so makes sense. Hopefully he can land with a Group of 5 down there.

This is nothing against this guy, but I don't recall ever hearing of him? Has he played any? Was it news when he committed?

According to BG's website, he played in 9 games last year and recorded one tackle. No playing time this year.

Gee... don’t show up to travel for a game, when you are on a special team and end up in portal. Another character guy lost. What kind of maniacs did the idiots before Loeffler recruit!?!?!? What a mess he was handed.

OrangeandBrown blog brought up a great point that even though this may not be the biggest loss in contribution, it impacts the number of scholarship players BG will have next season, because of the maximum of 25 scholarships per year. Every player that leaves eats into that number and makes it harder to increase depth.

This is a fact. But a useless mind or body, is also not depth. Losing the deadwood and accompanying distractions are addition by subtraction. Some of these guys really waste everyone’s time and team resources. They also cause position groups, off or def, or entire team to be punished for their individual indiscretions. Get up at 4:30 am everyday cuz a teammate is late everyday to something.... eventually he will get lit up by the team, and work his way out the door. What a waste of everyone’s time because of selfish idiots.

A few more defections pointed out by Nick P in the Blade today.

Grant Abbott, Freshman OL
Zach Dziengelewski, RS Soph OL (played in five games this season)
Charles Lamar, RS Senior RB/LB (walk-on or former walk-on, I believe? Could have really used him at RB as the season winds down)

Loeffler also mentioned he expects more to leave. I expect next year to be just as rough as this year.
