I know others have already said it, but it's really sad that our expectations have sunk to "gosh, I hope we can beat this FCS team at home", and we can't even do that.

If we had an AD in place, I would say fire Loeffler yesterday to get ahead of other schools who will be looking for a coach at the end of the year. One of the best things about firing Blackney after the Buffalo debacle was that Paul Krebs was able to spend several months identifying and zeroing in on his next coach. The UB game was on Sept. 23, 2000; the final game of the season was on Nov. 22 and if I'm not mistaken, Urban Meyer was hired in the first week of December.

I'd still love to see us fire Loeffler sooner rather than later, but I doubt much (any) progress would be made toward hiring a new coach without an AD in place.

FWIW, Tucker Melton is starting at West Alabama and is 2-0. Just threw for 400 yards and 4tds on Saturday. I know it’s D-2, but no way would he be worse than McDonald.

They gave up +600 yards in a game played in a furnace, and +400 yards to an FCS team. They're on pace to give up over 3 1/2 miles this year. Forget the struggles of our 8th year quarterback, we're not going to beat anybody with this defense.

"on pace to give up over 3 1/2 miles" lolllllll

Yeah, winning is cool, but have you ever celebrated after breaking up a pass against an FCS school down 14 on your home field?

See y'all once hoops gets rolling. Surely they won't disappoint us this year!
