Notes
1-I switched the header
2-Chesney, my top candidate looks to be going to Syracuse?
https://footballscoop.com/news/syracuse ... dan-mullen
3-Here is my sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Will be interesting to see who moves up. There were a ton of guys who felt like they needed another year.

Going to keep chipping away at this. I am not saying we should fire him this year but it's been a labor of love and we will eventually need a coach. A lot of these guys are young. It was also very fun to follow FCS and d2.

Some notes
Chesney gone, Simmons maybe to Tulane.
Brian Wright who was D2 moved up to FCS at Northern Arizona
I didn't realize how many OC's switch teams . 60 last year.....that's nuts.
Brennan Marion who I was high on at UNLV reportedly is getting an SEC OC role?
Kevin Johns the OC at Duke is in the mix a lot of places
Delaware is moving to FBS so we probably won't be poaching their coach
Both Deland McCullough and Mike Hart interviewed at Indiana...didn't get that job
Jedd Fisch @ Arizona didn't go anywhere so Brennan Carroll didn't go anywhere....yet
As noted, Matt Johnson moves to SD St as OC, He is one of those that will be on the short list in 3-5 years or so.
Guys who I assumed wouldn't come here, who are getting paid too much already like Jay Hill, JaMarcus Shephard and Aaron Henry appear to be staying in their positions.
Last year I was able to pull a decent list of guys based on who interviewed at other MAC schools. This year no MAC school changed coaches.

Looks like Brennan Marion, UNLVs OC who was in my top 5-10 options, over promised his QB some NIL money. The former Holy Cross transfer is now redshirting and will no longer play this season for the 3-0 Rebels. Marion is likely not going to get a chance at a HC job anytime soon.

Clawson's roster building style isn't going to work in this transfer era and wake doesn't have the resources to compete or recruit

Clawson’s style isn’t going to work in today’s era, meanwhile BGSU is employing a guy who got 6 years bullshitting Clawson’s style minus winning. Atleast he is not Jinks.

A little run down of my favorite guys. Starting with Mike Jacobs

Mike Jacobs-Head Coach-Mercer
-6-0 in his first year at Mercer this year (They play bama later this year)
-32-9 @ Lenoir-Rhyne as HC
-42-8 @ Notre Dame College as HC
-First stop coaching was Eastern Michigan OL 2 years, early 2000s
-Was an OL for OSU former walk on
-6 years coaching at ND College in Ohio
-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxAL70JIk1E Great video highlighting his background
-Born in Maumee and went to Maumee HS
-His Defensive Coordinator is former BGSU DB Jahmal Brown https://mercerbears.com/sports/football ... brown/3035
-Sometimes I worry about their offenses and that they wouldn't translate but it looks like theirs is pretty wide open...Watching the Princeton game from this past weekend. They have run 5 offensive plays so far ALL different formations. 2 TEs, 1 TE, 2 RBs, 3 WO's and 5 WRs. The RB is lining up all over the place and lots of motion.

We are 5-4 with 3 to 4 games to go. I would assume 7-5 means he is back. That's really a 7-3 record when you take out the exhibition games against Texas AnM and Penn St.
