Re: Transfers
They have tossed quite a few players they brought in themselves. A few were walk ons. Definitely not all Previous regime guys.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
Re: Transfers
So when do they get stability within the coaching staff?

Re: Transfers
You have railed particularly against VanGorder, along with just about EVERYTHING else going on..... He is now gone (so, a GOOD thing), and that translates to instability? I think coach Lig coming in to special teams is an upgrade. I think Cato June is an upgrade, for a lot of reasons. Will you ever acknowledge when improvements are made; or, is your MO to always be negative? I have seen nothing but steps forward since an abysmal fall season ( that I attribute to COVID killing the have nots, more than the haves). Is BVG gone a plus or minus???

Re: Transfers
Austin Osborne, a transfer from Washington (PAC-12), has selected BGSU.
He's a 6'2 WR that just completed his 2nd season at Washington after redshirting as a freshman, so he should have 2-3 years of eligibility remaining.
He played at Mission Viejo HS in California with Matt McDonald back in high school.
As a prospect, he was a 4-star WR, the #212 overall player and #39 receiver in the 2018 class. He had offers from Washington, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Miami, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, and Vanderbilt.
To me, this is a GREAT addition to the WR room.

Re: Transfers
Agreed, this seems like a great get. He wasn't productive at UW, but his high school tape is *very* good. I have to think Matt McDonald did some of the recruiting here. Good on him.mbenecke wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:27 pm Austin Osborne, a transfer from Washington (PAC-12), has selected BGSU.

Re: Transfers
This is obviously fake news...our coach is an idiot who doesn't know how to get players to transfer in.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

A Grad transfer, all academic, three year eligibility. Sure beats a flyer on a JUCO flunky.

Julian Ortega-Jones has committed to Texas State.
I wish him the best of luck in the Sun Belt.

His brother is on the baseball, so good for him.

Re: Transfers
Tommy Guajardo, a TE from Michigan State, has decided to transfer to BG.
He was in the class of 2020, so he should have 3 or 4 years of eligibility remaining. Out of high school, he had offers from Michigan State, Ball State, Boston College, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kent State, UMass, Miami, Minnesota, NC State, Northern Illinois, Pitt, Temple, Toledo, West Virginia, and Western Michigan.
His 0.8647 rating from 247 would make him the 3rd highest rated commitment in school history.
Seems like a great get, at an important position in Loeffler’s offense.

Ali Saad 6’4 260LB DT transferring IN to BG from Minnesota. 2020 HS grad from Dearborn. Many P5 offers out of HS, including BC. Colgate and others too, so must have some wits.

In high school, as a 3-star (whose 0.8498 would rank him as the #8 ranked recruit in school history), he had offers from Minnesota, Boston College, Illinois, Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Cornell, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kent State, UMass, Miami, Missouri, Northwestern, Ohio, Penn, Princeton, Rutgers, Temple, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Yale.roguewarrior wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 8:24 pm Ali Saad 6’4 260LB DT transferring IN to BG from Minnesota. 2020 HS grad from Dearborn. He appears to have 4 (or so) years of eligibility left. I think this is a great pickup and exactly the type of guy we should be finding in the portal.
