Poetic freakin justice!
If its Washington DC ?, then the car is almost packed!
Absolutely correct. The rules always kept the non BCS out and now it blew up in their faces. F ESPN and the BCS.
See you in DC!!!!

Love being back in a bowl game! Now let's win this thing and cap off a good season. We need to wash away the taste of the last few bowl losses. Looking forward to being there.
I know I'm in the minority, hell I'm probably the only person here who is gonna say this, but I'm not going to talk s**t about Herbstreet, Palmer, Pollack, or anyone else at ESPN or anywhere else that doesn't think NIU should make the Orange Bowl. It is their OPINION, they are paid to give their OPINION, and we obviously care about those opinions or else we wouldn't tune in to watch them or comment on them.
The system is flawed, and that's not NIU's fault, just like it isn't Louisville or Wisconsin's fault. The talk means nothing. What matters is the play on the field January 1st in Miami. Let the focus be on rooting for BG and the other MAC schools in their bowls and not caring so much about the opinions of others
Why is the system flawed because it let NIU in? I am confused. I think it's offering a smaller school an opportunity at a great bowl. That's how it's supposed to work.

I meant the system was flawed against the non BCS teams all these yrs. I am very happy NIU is heading to Miami.

What it comes down to is that the "boys" at ESPN don't WANT to see a "little guy" in one of these games...might mean lower ratings, less ad money etc. And the ONLY reason the B.S. er BCS allowed this was due to pressure being put on them, both by the non AQ leagues and, I believe, even Congress at one point several years ago.
In the meantime, GO BG and GGGGOOOOOO NIU!!!!!!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Considering how their current administration blew it with their bowl situation, they should bring him in to run the show. I'm not an expert on Karl Malone, but the few times I've heard him speak, he seems to have a lot of common sense. The ideal situation for any program is to have an alum at the top, someone who wants to be there long term, has the school/program's best interest at heart and isn't in that position to use it as a stepping stone to a bigger job. Unfortunately, that's often hard to find in a non BCS conference school.
