To be honest, I typed this out without really thinking. Then when I got down to it, I realized I’m just throwing more feed to a rabid and misdirected mutt. I know it’s wrong, but when someone makes it this easy to pick them apart, you’ve gotta admit, it’s pretty hard to resist.
That said, sorry tek, but I’m out. Claim victory if you’d like, say I’m running away from the argument if you want, but I’m out. I’ve got far better things to do with my time… like cheer my favorite team to victory every week. I suggest you do a little more of the same, rather than taking your trash to the boards of other teams.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Now, on to my final reply:

Here's why I chose to lampoon your diatribe:
85% of people who go to BG do not give a damn about BG athletics..some who go to the games go because its a live football game, but they do not care. You will never get this to change.
Simply not true. Just because you've gone all Fredo on us doesn't mean everyone else has, too. They do care; they care quite a bit. I know it's shocking to you to think that anyone, anywhere could care about anyone but tosu, but I'll be damned if you're not dead wrong (as usual). BG students do care about this team, many of them as much as or more than you care about tosu.

The fact that we're not in "positioonn" to win an NC means little if not nothing to me. Honestly, it does. It would be great to win one, sure, but I promise you I waste no time thinking about it. Why? Because I go to BG, I love BG, and I know the bureaucratic cards are stacked against us. That’s the system.

The next reason I chose to pick your post apart was your condescending ‘suddenly I'm an expert on human psychology’ tone. It's “human nature” to want to be a fan of a team like tosu? Quick! Someone call a psychiatrist to every non NC-contending University in the country! Something has gone horribly wrong!

I know that you, personally, might feel the need to bandwagon along with a team that will make you feel more important than the sad, strange little person you are, but some of us don't need to pretend we're part of something we're not in order to live with ourselves. You admitted it yourself, you have an unhealthy desire to be associated with ‘the best’. You know what that is, tek? That’s what people do when they know they’ll never be the best. I’m sorry to hear about your self-esteem problems. You're a dependent individual, and you really should have that checked out. In fact, someone call that psychiatrist back…

Oh, and to go back to the original point, to say that tosu fans cheer for them (the team) because it's more important for them (the team) is to say that they feel it's more important for the players (who make up said team). Not too much of a stretch for that to mean it’s because the players do too. Same point each time. Sorry pal.

Besides, my point still stands. You specifically said the fans do not play the game, then later in your post said “winning MAC titles would have never been good enough for me”. You refer to them as if they’re your accomplishments, as if you want to move up to bigger and better things… But you don’t play the games. But, I guess I’ve already covered that point, so I won’t go any further.

Oh, and nice try with the Michael Moore comment. I won’t even bother with that one, it’s too damn ridiculous to even care.

(Whew! That was like a freaking novel! Glad to be done with that mess. Back under the bridge for you, troll.)

It is true. BG gets about what 5000 students out of 25,000 to goto the games (on a good day) and 2,500 of that 5000 leave at halftime or show up late because OSU is on. thats 2,500 out of 25000 who actually care about the team? Oh, it is very true wether you want to accept it or not. The fact that you fail to accept it does not make it false, it means you are in denial.

i said its human nature to want to be on top and be associated with the best. If being the best is not your goal then you are a failure or mentally handicapped. What is the ultimate goal? To win national title and be on top..that is the goal in sports. If that is not your goal then get off of the field. People want to cheer for a team who has that chance because they share the same goals..apparently you guys are willing to accept less. you are willing to be failures in life and settle for less.

I did not refer to them as my accomplishments I inferred they would not be good enough for me as a fan. It would not be acceptable if my team could only win MAC titles and never have a shot to win a national title. you read into things incorrectly sir. You may be the only duche bag here who didnt get that.

I have been going to OSU games for 13 years, my dad has season tickets..thats hardly "bandwagonnig it" Believe it or not people can be OSU fans and not be bandwagon fans. Especially since we are from OHIO! holy s**t that makes sense. FYI, in the first 11 years I have been going to OSU games OSU had NEVER won a national title until 2002. If I was a bandwaggoner I would have been rooting for Florida Nebraska or FSU during those times because they were the ones winning all the championships.

you have no fu**ing clue. you are the biggest idiot on this board.

By the way, you were wrong about people who know they will never be the ebst because I am already on my way to being the best. I have been the best at mostt I have ever done. I was the best player on my baseball team. I was one of the best on my football team. I have only been at my job for 1 year and I am already training to be a director of Records Management Systems for law enforcement. I have experienced numurous successes in my life. I have been and I still am very satisfied with my life.

The Michael Moore comments fits quite properly..you are probably a fat dirty slob who cuts and pastes peoples comments to make them read the way you want them too.

run like a bitch

you people need to get over your jealousy. OSU will ALWAYS rule over BG. BG is on a down slide back to pitifulness. enjoy!
