24, you went back on your word...you told me earlier that BG was going to win 28-24. Now you say CMU is gonna beat us. tsk tsk...bgsufalcon24 wrote:Hey falconboy, you seem quite worried about us only beating EMU by 3, but if I remember correctly, EMU took CMU to overtime earlier this year. Right? Yes. Once again proof that win margin really does not matter, and that CMU did not fare any better against EMU than we did on a comparative level. Not that that even matters anyway, all that matters is that we have been road warriors lately, and as long as we set the tempo our way early on, we should be able to beat the Chippewas. However, as Sville said earlier, it will be close.falconboy wrote:I really believe we lose this one quite easily. I hope to God I'm wrong , but I see CMU running down our throats with all these DT injuries. Unless Mack is brought back to DT/DE positions we aren't going to do well vs a good team like CMU this year. We struggled mightily against winless EMU and I think our weaknessess will be really broadcasted in this game. I don't see our D-line having much success starting basically 3 DE's in along the line. We barely got away with that vs a Mac bottom feeder EMU.
However, at the beginning of this season, I had this game pegged as a loss. I'm sticking with that. That keeps us behind my ultimate prediction of 8-4 still, but that game against Toledo I said we were going to lose is going to be a win, so we'll still get there.

I see the game as kind of a toss up in terms of on-the-field talent. Both teams have a lot of young talent. I'm thinking that it's going to be a coache's game. The Central coach is maybe the best strategist in the MAC, and the Bowling Green group needs a be-ready-to counter attitude like they did at OU. That is, BG needs to turn the page in it's play book. If it's run Turner or Barns up the gut on every first down, it will be a very long night. Go BG!

Maybe. I would argue that CMU's coach cost them the game against BC, with several bad decisions, and that He also made a bad game decision to not start Lefevours against UK. Those were 2 games CMU could/should have won and he lost them.Dr. Reality wrote:I see the game as kind of a toss up in terms of on-the-field talent. Both teams have a lot of young talent. In today's BG news it said that O'Drob would not be playing in tonights game. Other than that I like the prediction.JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:BG 24

Possibly in OT. Partridge gets behind the secondary for a long one, Barnes and Bullock for the other 2 TD's, and O'D although hobbled leaves everything on the field. Parks and Dozier go Full Metal Jacket in having the D hold them off just enough!
