We have 2 losses in the MAC and Ohio is beating Kent by 17-7 score right now... Don't give up...if you hop off the bandwagon then you can't get back on!!!!!!!!!!!!

This coaching staff had 9 days to get ready for freaking Temple. To lose this game is unacceptable.

cowboyjoe wrote:Was it bad coaching when we scored 70 points on Temple the last 2 years?
Yes, it was most likely bad or mediocre coaching at best. Luckily for Brandon Urban built such a huge talent base in his 2 years here that Brandon could ride that wave into a few years of easy money.

The main problem with this team is plain and simply the receivers and punter/kicker. Is that the coach's fault? Hmmm.....

A coach can only do so much to get a team fired up for a game.....the rest is on the individual and how bad they want it...I dont feel that should be all on the coach, but dont get me wrong, im disappointed with the coaching as well...

This is sounding like the hockey board..... 8)
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

How is it the punter's fault that the kick was blocked? Did he hold it for five seconds before kicking it? Did Big Bird block some of our coverage guys on the kickoff return? Did the receivers drop any/many passes today? I ask because I didn't see the game. I listened on the radio, but I didn't hear Walker say anything about drops. He would talk about how open guys are, but the throws weren't there.

I have nothing to add to this slapfight, but I want to see how narrow that original post will get if we quote it enough.

Some of us were making stupid comments in there due to emotion. I was certainly one of those. I don't think anybody in there, including myself, was actually rooting for Temple.
I wanted BG to win, right down to the end, but at some point you just have to joke about it. The program has become a joke, we're the laughing stock of all of college football now. We may as well have some fun with it.
When we start rooting for a man to become unemployed then we need to question if it's really a game.

It's obviously not just a game to any of us.

In my mind, this team is a representation of my university when it takes the field. The team was embarrased today, therefore the University was embarassed, therefore I was embarrased.

Gregg Brandon is embarassing my University, so you're damn right I'm rooting for him to be unemployed. He's been making well over 6 figures since he started, so he can cry me a river.
