Also, they are taking advantage of the Homecoming fans by scheduling a worthless opponent because they know the attendance would really blow if it was not homecoming.

I had originally planned on season tickets, but forget it now.

Anyone want to post his e-mail address so we can begin the barrage?

Yeah you'll save the money of watching these crappy games. I'm dedicated enough that I'll pay to go out there and watch horrible matchups with WKU & Temple...we'll probably end up losing, just to be icing on the cake.

This new AD is doing a fabulous job at royally pissing off what loyal fanbase he actually has. And he's supposed to be this great fundraiser. I'll teach him a thing or two about raising funds...you want money Mr Chryst-WHORE?

1) Put winning teams on the field
2) Bring in compelling home matchups

PERIOD. The rest will follow if you cover these two essential bases.

Exactly. I'm PO'ed as well this sorry excuse for a football schedule. Temple never , absolutely never should've been offered membership without us either dropping a school or us picking up another school in addition to Temple. This freakin' blows. :smt078 ](*,) :smt011

I plan to when I get home...I'm not involving my "employer" in this tirade.

Of course we have no problem at all saying we will go all the way out to freaking Idaho to get clobbered again before they pay a return trip there.

Christopher Blows!!
When they hired Christopher, they had it down to him and a guy from West Virginia. During Christopher's time at Purdue, Purdue football had some big ups and even bigger downs, mens basketball fell through the floor, and women's basketball did well but went completely unknown. The guy from West Virginia saw the football team hit new heights with winning the Big East and going to and winning the Sugar Bowl, the basketball team get very well ranked and do quite well one year in the tournament, and saw the best attendance possibly in school history.

And why did he hire Greg Christopher??
MarkL has spoken.
You may all now return to your daily lives.

Yes, it's all the fault of an AD WHO HAS NOT BEEN HERE A FULL YEAR YET!!!!! Half of this he has had little to no say in because it was set up before he took the position. You all are funny because if he were a first year head coach you would be talking about how tough it is taking someone else's team and making them your own in the first year. This is NO different. Greg Christopher said the GOAL was to have 6 home games each year. We are closer to that this year then we were last. Screw Temple and Rick Chryst for letting them half ass their way into the MAC. Lets put down the torches and pitch forks and see how this plays out. If we find ourselves in the same situation when the 2008 schedule comes out then I will provide the lighters.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to contact GC to wait a while and write one when you're not fired up.

BS...we were talking about home dates with NIU, Boise and Navy AFTER Christopher took the job. He might not have put the events in motion that lead to the conference having problems, but he was the one who sold us down the river this year.

I don't like that we go in big stretches where we have like three games on the road and then two at home....spread them out!! Not only for the band, but for people out of town. It doesn't seem as burdensome to ask fans to come once every two weeks rather than back to back weeks. Also, I pity the marching band.

My other big problem is with the Friday night games. How are we going to get recruits to the game if they are playing in a playoff game on a Friday night? I know the regular season is not affected by the Friday night games, but still the first Friday game is the first game of playoffs. And what about parents that have kids still in high school and college...which one are they going to attend? Probably the cheaper and closer high school game.

Additionally, the game on Friday after Thanksgiving sucks. The students won't be here, the housing is a huge pain for the marching band (when over half of the band lives in the dorms, you're talking 100 kids that have to find a place to stay) and cheerleaders that need a place to stay. Not to mention people who go or live out of state to go home for Thanksgiving. And I personally don't like to miss the sales  .

Bottom line...where is the common sense when scheduling? Oh wait...we don't need it because we have Chryst.

I agree that this is a major problem. I will volunteer my home to help the cheerleaders out...I'm not as close as the dorms, but only about 3 miles from the Doyt.

Near the end of November, I would prefer the game being played in the afternoon before it gets dark. I don't have any problems starting up the grill and opening the beer at 10:30 or so.

The Administration is retarded. Toledo our bigest home has been for years when the students are blowing out of town.
move that game up!!!! Already it should be our second or third game and definitely not a game when no students are in town and the doyt fills with rocket fans!!!! please fix this...but then again we have wood-lane scheduling our games...

actually we could be better off if we just played all away games at bigger schools...at least that way we would not have to play some of the crap games we do know...and wtf is d1 expanding for anyway...untill there is a real playoff system that is inclusive d1a should be the last thing any school should want.

So with the new schedule up, I just placed a poll over in the band forum as to where you guys think the FMB should perform at for an away game. Here's the link http://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com/phpBB2/v ... hp?t=15568.[/url]
