StubHub had tickets for the at MSU for $18 where face was $46, I would imagine the same will be true with the game at Pitt.

Could be a good road trip. Heinz Field is an awesome place to watch a game, and I think BG can win that game, if they can tighten up the Defense...a lot.

There should be no problem with tickets. If it isn't WVU or Notre dame they don't draw well.
I am soooo looking forward to the trip to Pitt. It's less than a 2 hr drive from Akron. I hope it isn't a noon kickoff...what time does Pitt usually play?

I was there when we lost in 1999...we totally dominated on both sides of the ball and left the field a 30-10 loser...due to 3 Big special teams plays by Pitt and an int return for a score. That sucked.

Freak, Pitt does play a lot of early afternoon games. I am not sure what time they usually start. My nephew goes to Pitt, I will ask him. I was at that game in 99 as well. Revenge in 08.

Where is the 2008 schedule published? Or is it not final yet?

Not published, but the Pitt game has been mentioned with a date attached for some time now. I think it seems like the most sure of our games, never knowing what may fall later on.

GAME TIME ESTIMATE

Post by SB-50 »

The Pirates are playing the Brewers at 7:05pm Aug 30. I doubt they would schedule both games at the same time. My guess is a noon kick-off

If that's the case, either we get an early start that day or just go over the night before and get a hotel room.

PNC Park may be the best MLB stadium to see a game. It is a shame as a Pirate fan to have such a nice facility and pathetic team. There is a great Onion story about PNC I need to post. Anyway, SAT night games at PNC actually draw well. That may be surprising, but they give away bobbleheads or have a fireworks night.

I will be there early Saturday. I have already been talking smack to Pitt alum that I grew up with as well as my trader nephew.

The Onion Story about PNC park threatening to leave the Pirates? I love that story.

I'll be down there early as well. I'll probably have some various family and friends in tow as well. I've already been talking about the game with a couple Pitt Alums I work with. Should be a great day, even if kickoff ends up being early. We can always tailgate after the game and celebrate the win.

That was the story. Here it is for anyone that cares. If you don't care it is still a great Onion article.
