Bernie Casey was also a world class hurdler, and I believe an alternate to the US Olympic team.

Yup.

"Casey excelled on the track, as well. The 1959 MAC champion in the high hurdles, he was also an NCAA finalist that year. In 1960, the spring after helping lead the football team to that magical season, he finished fourth at the NCAA meet in the high hurdles, and qualified for the 1960 Olympic trials, the first Falcon ever to do so. Though he turned in one of the best races of his career, Casey finished sixth at the trials."

(Ah, linkus of course.)
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."

Doyt is the face. Nuff said.

Last year I was big sexy in my BGSU gear and a security guard at the building said, "You went to Bowling Green?"

"Yup. Graduated in '89."

"I went there for a little bit but I dropped out. You know Bernie Casey, the football player. He was also really good at track too. Not a lot of people know that, but he was a great track athlete."

"Oh. Cool."
