It was part of the Sebo Center construction. 8-)

Freak - 15%. This is a tough week for him and he's all over the place. The win at Pitt, knocking down a ranked opponent, comparing that to a game back in '92, upcoming Big 10 team at the Doyt, tailgating plans, etc.

Metz - down to about 60%. The increased anti-Frickers campaign is taking away from study time.

Flipper - 80%, not too bad. He gets in, gets his jabs in, then gets out.

Hammb - runs at about 60%, unless its a week where we get stymied against a lesser opponent then he starts railing on Brandon.

Falcon Fanatic - probably about 85%. It doesn't take too long to find something to be positive about.

Me- the usual 50%. ...even when its not football season
Cute post. Very funny!

Does anyone have an extra ticket for the game on Saturday? I would definitely be willing to pay for it...problem is I'm not going to get into BG until about game time...I work til 6, 90 minute drive. I'd love to be able to sit with some azz.com folks but like I said, I'll be pulling in as the game is kicking off. Let me know and I'll find a way to get the ticket from you whether it be asking the Will-Call people to help us out at the stadium or something like that. I've decided that missing this game is not an option...missing kickoff, ok, but the entire game...no chance Lance!!!

I don't know if that was supposed to be really funny, but I literally just started laughing out loud when I read that.

Just ordered 2 tickets for Nicholas and I ...... and found a hotel in Perrysburg..... barely. According to on-line travel sites, all BG hotels area booked. Seats are chairbacks in West stands - section 13.

I am not sure when we will be in town, but would like to meet some of you again...... I guess that includes Hammb :-D. Our problem will be arriving at the stadium with time to visit. We are famous for pulling into the overflow lot in Oxford 10 minutes before kick-off.

Are you able to see the big orange circle on the ground...... or do I have to be in a hot air balloon?

Nicholas wants to play golf on the campus course - not sure when to fit that in..... before the game or Sunday.

FYI - Since Nicholas is currently not playing high school soccer or football and has turned his attention to pole vault AND BG does not have a men's track team anymore...... you are all more than welcome to buy us beer or a dog. No NCAA rules will be violated

Hey you know ya'll are welcome at our tailgate any time! We'll give ya beer, brats, whatever! Glad to hear you guys will make it for the game, hopefully you'll have a chance to tailgate.

I'm so looking forward to this game, I don't think I've been more looking forward to a tailgate since NIU in '03.

Hammb - we definitely hope to catch up with you either before, during, or after the game. With just Nicholas and I coming, we will be fairly free to meet. I have to figure out when I want to get out of Dayton. We want to hit the hotel first, then drop down for dinner and the game or vice-a-versa. And I have to squeeze in some golf.

We also need to try an see Transfer sometime during our short run north.

I still have your cell phone number in my cell phone address - so if needed we can hunt you down

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Seriously. If you can't make it on time to tailgate for a 7:30 kick, you are not appropriately teaching your son how to behave on a fall Saturday.

I'll be arriving pretty early Saturday with a bunch of my student friends and we'll probably be wandering around for a while. It would be nice to see some of the other AZZ members, especially the ones I've seen around the hockey boards frequently. I'll be over there, though. I can't wait to stomp Minny.

Check

I typically work Saturday mornings. It will take 2 1/2 hours to get to the hotel. Probably what I will do is work Friday night, then we can take off Sat. morning..... Nicholas will be driving me nuts to get going. So - If we get to the hotel by 1:00 or so, we could play 9 holes on the campus course, then find Hammb before he passes out underneath the Large AZZ Trailer

I think most of that comes from Nicholas spending nearly every Saturday since he was 4 yrs old playing soccer, football, basketball, or whatever sport he was dominating at the time and not having time to sit in a parking lot and grill dogs and burgers.

He is really looking forward to the game and wants to meet the AZZ golfers again...... even you TG

Let's Tee It Up

Our car is packed, we have all the yard furniture in the shed, and all electronics/irreplaceable items from our ground floor up to the second floor, work has officially closed the office tomorrow (so no vacation day burned), I'm ready to get out of town away from this impending hurricane and up to BG!

Ready to hit BG Friday afternoon for a little Mr. Spot's lunch, Black Swamp Friday night and Falcon Football Saturday!

Will definitely be out in the East lot by Noon. Looking forward to seeing everyone- I'm sure we'll all make the rounds- be sure to say hello!

I shouldn't have looked at Black Swamp website- I see Dirty Dozen Brass Band is playing Saturday night- they put on a GREAT show, hopefully the game will make me forget all about missing them in BG!

I am having a problem with tailgate plans.

I am going to prepare dates stuffed with parmesan cheese (the real stuff) and wrapped in proscuitto.

The problem lays in naming them, should they be called "Mini Falcon footballs" or "Gopher nuts on a platter"? I am partial to the first name cause, well, I just don't want to eat nuts, however "Mini Falcon footballs" seems to lack pizzaz.
