Do I hear sour grapes in that? Come on people seriously, this guy's 17 - 18, nobody on this board personally knows him unless someone's not telling. He made a decision, let that be it, and things may turn out better for everybody anyway.[/quote]

What 17 year old athletic guy (or girl) DOESN'T think they're God's gift? I know I did and look how I turned...Well.OK, maybe I'm not the best example but spare me the "my second cousin's science teacher says he's a jerk" stuff. If Toledo had any recruits I suspect they would be reconsidering, too. Part of the process.

This kid was going to come here because of Brandon and he gets screwed and Brandon is gone. Can you blame him that he wants to go somewhere else? He didn't commit to us because of Clawson. If I were Clawson, I would have been contacting the top recruits, for sure, before any press conference.

Pankrantz has the size and arm strength over Tanski. His recruiting video showed some awesome physical skills. He'd be my firat choice...but who knows about the intangibles until their under center...or in the shot gun in our case.

And you assume that he didn't?

I understand Coach Clawson has met with a very large number of our commits face to face and I understand he has all his other in home visit travel planned. It is difficult to meet with all of them on one weekend when some may be in other places.

Don't worry; he understands work and its importance.

I certainly hope we hold all our commits, but in situations like this it is quite common to lose a few. Keep in my mind that eighteeen year old mind doesn't "feel betrayed" on his own typically. That feeling is helped by other team's coaches moving that feeling along.

Just have to work hard and help the student athletes understand you commit to an institution in the end. Coaches- anywhere- can change.

Go Falcons!

whats with the love with tanski? the guy was a walk who prolly wont even have a scholly for himself until he's a 5th year senior. rashaun stover finished 2nd to clarrett for mr football as well look how he turned out. daspollack is right, just because someone might win an award does not make them the best player. hell troy smith won the hiesman, was he even close to being the best player? hell no. all the heisman is is an advertising campaign and the exposure that the player recieves. i remember when joey harrington was in the running for the hiesman the oregon alumni spent like a million dollars or something just to put up a 50 foot poster of him in times sqaure to get the exposure. was charles woodson the best player in college football? no, it was peyton manning. was jason white the best player? not even close, eric crouch?? not even close. so just because someone is an award winner, doesnt really hold much water to me.

You are going to need to get over your child-like loyalty to Brandon at some point. Why not start sooner, rather than later, eh? It's not like you are being totally annoying for no constructive reason whatsoever, or anything. Certainly not...

BO don't even pay any attention to cowboy, his credibillity as a rational thinker was lost when he was preaching, kicking, and screaming that freddie barnes should be the starting qb just because he had a good RUSHING game against wisky.

Don't count on it. Pankratz is much better. Right now, Tony Hunter and Bart Tanski are on the same level.

Yea, my girlfriends little sister used to date him. After it ended i asked what happened, and her response "he's too into himself"

He's an 18 year old kid who has been told how great he is since he was 12, it's expected. Word around town is his dad is one of those "my son is gods gift to the world" and never put him in check.

I hope the best for him, like i said, he's a kid with his head a little on wrong.

No, i said i hope the best for him and that he's an 18 year old kid who, like most gifted athletes, has been praised their whole life.

I don't see where that comes off as sour grapes at all. Just saying that the comment he made didn't really surprise from what i've heard

If he'd changed his mind and come here instead of going somewhere else, this kid would be the smartest kid in Ohio. Even if he did say he felt he was hung out to dry by the other school.

In reality I doubt he comes here, and I really don't want him here either. If we do continue to run a spread I want an athletic QB, and this kid is a pro-style QB. I will take JH4 over Omar any day. Teams can't lock in on one thing that way.

In the end, we should really just wish for him the best possible decision for him.
Why don't you take your liberal BS and stick it where the son don't shine! ;)
