Sorry, but Dan Cummins evidently feels he has better things to do than come to BG for press conferences and the like.
Cummins has his head so far up Toledo's arse you could call him a tonsil.
Never heard that one before. I think I have seen him at one UT press conference in my life and can't remember ever seeing him at a UT practice or game.

I can't believe that one Tom because Toledo made the biggest mistake in the world by hiring Beckman when they obviously should have hired Eberflus (according to Dan-the-Man).

I'm still upset we didn't hire Dino.

rocketfootball, I am just curious. Have you never been a member of the Rocket Club or any UT booster group?
I know you have certainly tried to "promote UT athletics!
Can you explain why NCAA Bylaw 13.02.13 doesn't apply to you?

Just asking.

Being a member of the media and interviewing people for said media without giving any kind of bias is not a violation.

Yeah, but if you have EVER made a contribution to the athletic department, I believe this is:

A booster may have a telephone conversation with a prospect only if the prospect initiates the call. The telephone call may not be prearranged by an institutional staff member, and the booster is not permitted to have a recruiting conversation with the prospect but may exhibit normal civility. The booster must refer any questions about the institution’s athletics program to the athletics department staff. (NCAA Bylaws 13.1.3.5.1.1, 13.1.2.4 a)

So these kids are just calling you out of the blue then?

Either way, there is a Mr. and Mrs. B.N. (aka rocketfootball so as not to post his real name) listed as an athletic contributor under the UT Foundation website in their 2007 annual report.

Sounds like an NCAA violation to me by having him contact recruits.

He can claim media all he wants but I doubt you will see Dave Hackenberg making any gifts to UT athletics.

Boy, the K-State SID loves him (her) some adjectives!

An offensive coordinator at five colleges, Ruggiero’s offenses have finished among the country’s top 10 teams and also has coached a quarterback to All-America status at all five stops. His quarterbacks have broken four NCAA all-time records and have placed in the top 10 of 12 NCAA statistical categories.

Is there an Emoticon that drools?

Anyway, please accept my apologies for the PM with RF, Grant. He just gets under my skin so easily! ;)

Sounds like an intriguing hire. Labeled a football genius, by his former players? Sounds good to me. Let's hope he can keep that label at BG.

Thankfully, they did not call him a "mad scientist"

This guy calling the shots against a Beckman coached defense? It's almost unfair.

Chryst should really look into establishing some type of mercy rule/running clock scenario so ESPN's Thanksgiving programming schedule doesn't get screwed up next year.
